Skatepark merupakan salah salah satu tempat yang bisa menjadi penenang untuk Nick. Melakukan banyak trik kemudian menghancurkan papan luncur setelah selesai bermain adalah kepuasan tersendiri untuk laki-laki bermata grayish blue tersebut.

Begitu mengetahui jika skatepark tersebut tidak ramai hari ini, Nick langsung saja mengajak Chase—sahabatnya pergi ke sana. Selain untuk bersenang-senang, rasanya masih ada beban berat jika ia tidak bercerita tentang kejadian kemarin ke laki-laki itu.

Pada kenyataannya, Nick yang berniat ke sini untuk mematahkan banyak papan luncur miliknya hanya berakhir duduk di tepi lapangan sambil memperhatikan Chase memainkan benda beroda tersebut.

Chase langsung tergelak setelah meluncur lurus kemudian terjatuh di salah satu penurunan. Tak sengaja ia melirik pada Nick yang hanya menatap kosong lurus ke depan.

Chase menghela napas, ia bangkit kemudian menghampiri Nick. Setelah menepuk pelan bahu laki-laki itu, Chase duduk di sampingnya.

"What are you thinking about? Just break it," ucap Chase bermaksud pada papan luncur yang ada di dekat kaki Nick.

"I broke her twice. It was my fault."

"Wait what? This is your newest skateboard, how-"

"Aza." Suara Nick benar-benar lirih.

Chase yang tidak mengetahui arah pembicaraan tentu mengerutkan keningnya. "I don't get it."

"I thought when I broke up with her with those stupid reason, I'll feel free living in San Diego then move to Los Angeles. But I am not. She was breaking and want her happiness back." Nick kemudian beralih melirik Chase, "She find it, Daniel gives it to her. She said she's the happiest alive. Then my stupid fucking ass coming back to her life."

"What happened to her and Daniel?"

"When I arrived at my Mom's cafetaria, I saw her fucked up. I can't explain it. She walks pass me then I followed her. I think they're fighting after Daniel found out that I'm her ex. My Mom accidentally tell it to Daniel."

Sepanjang mendengar cerita Nick, Chase terus menerus berusaha memahami kejadian tersebut karena ia tidak bisa percaya jika itu benar-benar terjadi.

"So they're breaking up?"

"I hope no ... I am the problem here," ucap Nick lalu memalingkan pandangannya.

"Bro you know, you're not."

"Man, I am. Why did I come to Daniel in the first place? Why did I text her? Why am I trying to getting close with her again? Why did I run to her at that party? It was on me, everything was on me."

"It's Aza. Please don't do this. Why the heck she doesn't tell her fucking boyfriend about who you are, about her ex. Why she hided it."

Nick menghela napas lalu menunduk. Ia sedang mencoba berpikir tentang ucapan Chase barusan.

"I think she'll just tell Daniel about me if we weren't meet at that skatepark and you know that was really awkward. Imagine she tells Daniel, 'he's my ex.' like- if I was her, I'll do the same thing."
