I open my eyes feeling the headache come once again feeling like my whole head is being squashed and drilled, i'm sweating and my whole body aches. I can't even remember much of yesterday which is bad but for some reason...it feels good knowing I didn't have a worry in the world. I inhale a shaky deep breath keeping my emotions in check, I whip the duvet off my body and head to the kitchen as I rub the sleep from my eye.
"What's up, man?" I say when I realise Ace sitting down on the island stool eating a bowl of cereal.
"Hey" He replies giving me a quick glance.
"I'm sorry about last night" I try to keep my emotions in check again, I think I can remember interacting with Ace but bits and pieces are missing.
"It's okay, man. I understand why you're doing it but if you hurt yourself it would reck Cam"
"Since when do you care about Cam?" I ask.
I'm not even doing it to hurt myself..I just want to forget all the shit that goes on in my head.
"We are family...all of us" He tells me.
"Did she see me last night, you know.. the mess i was in?" I look down, I just know I was a mess from the way he's acting.
"Yeah she did, she found you first. You need to tell her, bro"
"No way, she'll hate our dad and I don't want her to go through the same pain I am" My voice cracks.
"She deserves to know Ash, she gets so upset when you avoid her and just last night she was crying seeing the mess you got yourself into. What did you even take?"
"I know! I know she deserves to know but I just can't, she'll hate me too, I've kept it so long and I have no idea something Rebecca gave me" I become agitated.
"Don't do that shit anymore. Cam won't hate you if you keep putting it off she might just if she finds out by someone else, you know Skye is avoiding her but for how long?"
My phone rings in my hand, I answer after looking at the ID "Hi, mum" I speak softly to her.
"Hi darlin', how about a family meal next weekend!?"
"Yeah" I agree.
"I miss you both so much so come after classes on Friday"
"Okay" I answer, I don't want to fucking go but I hate not seeing my mum and I hate letting her down.
"Is Cam there?" She sweetly asks.
"she's still asleep"
"Okay please tell her"
"Sure I'll tell her" I hang up the phone and look at Ace, he raises a brow waiting for my explanation.
