Asher's POV
I rub my eyes going down the staircase, I'm still extremely tired even though I slept for around ten hours so I definitely over slept. After having a cigarette wishing it was weed I finally fell asleep with the worry of this morning. I can hear my father's deep voice speaking to my mother I'm guessing, in the living room and I badly want to turn around and go back upstairs, I've got a sore head already because of him.
"Hi sweetie" my mother says holding a cup of coffee sitting on the chair around the coffee table, her smile wide which I'm sure is fake. "Merry Christmas" she places her mug onto the table and pulls me into her embrace.
"Merry Christmas, mum" I whisper, my voice croaky from the deep slumber I was in.
She cups my cheek, "Wake your sister up and we'll open presents"
"Huh?" I say still half asleep.
"For Pete's sake. Wake your sister up, you waste" Ken's voice booms like he's becoming impatient. His voice laced with anger, from seeing me I'm sure.
He's getting brave with the insults in front of my caring mother.
My mother's head whips to him, "Ken, don't speak to my son that way!"
"He's my son too" he scoffs, I know he hates saying that I'm his son and I still have no explanation on why but I so badly wish I wasn't his biological son.
"Then act like it!" Hatred laced through her words, she turns back to me with a coy smile, "Coffee?"
I nod locking eyes with her sad ones, "You get Cam up and I'll make you coffee" she walks by me, I make no eye contact with him whatsoever and just head upstairs to Cam's old room. I have a sickly feeling churning in my stomach and I hate it.
I knock three times but she doesn't answer so I open the door, she's still fast asleep laying on her stomach with her arms behind the pillow her head lays on.
I walk over picking up the cushion that normally sits on her bed, I snack the side of her head with it and she doesn't flinch just opens one eye slowly, "Merry Christmas, dickhead!" I try being the normal way I would usual be.
She groans and sits up, the bun on top of her head is a mess as strands of hair have escaped, her baby hairs are widely all over the place.
She rubs her eyes and yawns before sticking up her middle finger at me as I leave the room, she follows five steps behind me like a zombie.
We both go into the living room, sitting as far away from him as possible, "Merry Christmas, Pet" he says to her.
She gives him a sarcastic smile and rubs her eyes again, my mum comes into the living room with two cups of coffee for Cam and I, and then points towards the tree with an excited smile.
She knees down at the Christmas tree and picks one up reading Camila's name, she goes through the presents one by one reading off the names. A few was for my father but I think she bought them before their divorce.
Julia's POV
I sit up and stretch before climbing out of bed and heading downstairs, I love Christmas. I feel like a five year old that is excited about Christmas but I can't help it. It's always been such a fond memory growing up and my parents have always made it special.
My father and mother are laughing away in the living room and I'm sure they have been waiting for me to waken up. When I step into the living room they both look my way with loving smiles, "Merry Christmas!" They both say in unison and hug me at the same time.
