"Damon hasn't said a word to me. Every time I try to talk he shuts me down" Stefan informed the twins at school

"Think he's still trying to find Katherine?" Elena asked her boyfriend

"I don't know," Stefan said

"He waited 145 years only to find out she couldn't care less. It's gotta hurt right?" Evelyn asked

"And it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy," Elena said sarcastically

"You two have every reason to be upset" Stefan stated

"Mm-mm" Elena muttered

After Elena got home from her double date Evelyn wanted to see Damon

As she walked in she saw Stefan and Damon standing up panting. While Stefan had a huge bloodstain on his shirt

"What happe—Ahhh!" Evelyn started to say then saw the dead body

"There goes the neighborhood," Damon said

While Evelyn helped them clean up the mess Stefan rang Elena

"Okay stop with the mussy crap" Evelyn said to Stefan hearing him talk to Elena

Suddenly Damon started panting and Evelyn saw him trying to pull the body. Evelyn grabbed the girls' arms helping him

"How are you okay with this?" Stefan asked Evelyn

"I don't know if you remember this but I burned someone alive saving you," Evelyn said to him

Damon only hummed

"Huh. I've saved both your lives before. And I'm a human. What does that say about you?" Evelyn told them

Later that night Evelyn was trying to sleep but couldn't as the storm was too loud scaring her. She quietly crept to Elena's room seeing her awake to

"Psst" Eve whispered to Elena

"Come on then," Elena said at seeing Evelyn and pulled the duvet open

Later that day the twins went to the Salvatore house to see the brothers

"I saw we go to pearls bust down the door and annihilate the idiot that attacked us last night," Damon said the other three

"Yeah and then what?" Stefan asked him

"Great plan. What do we do about the other vampires huh? Just say, oops. sorry?" Evelyn said to Damon

"I can't believe you made a deal with her" Elena said to him watching him hammer a board onto a window

"It's more like a helpful exchange for information. It's not like I got a choice. She's scary. Besides she gonna help me get Katherine back" Damon explained

"Of course she is. Damon gets what he wants as usual, no matter who he hurts" Elena snapped at him

"No need to be snarky about it," Damon said
