The Descent

Evelyn's outfit

As Evelyn walked up to Stefan's room where she knew Elena would be she heard Stefan say

"We still have that little issue of you being Klaus's human sacrifice,"

"Not anymore, I made the deal remember, God cover put," Evelyn said to Stefan as he didn't have a top on

"You're in my room," Stefan told her

"And?" Evelyn said sitting down on his couch

"Right, well as long as you play by his rules," Stefan said

"Please don't go after Isobel," Evelyn told him

"Katherine said Isobel could have some answers,"

"Katherine also said she loved Damon, she's a liar," Evelyn said

"I just have a couple of questions," Stefan said

"Stefan, Evelyn made a deal with Elijah," Elena said

"Right, she made a deal not me," Stefan said

"That deal is the only thing stopping him from ripping your head off of your body," Evelyn stated

"Stefan, I don't want anyone else to get hurt," Elena said

"When have I ever wanted somebody to get hurt?" Stefan asked

Elena stayed quiet

"You wanted to kill Katherine, that counts as hurt," Evelyn said

"Apart from her. We've all thought of killing her before," Stefan said

"Point taken," Evelyn muttered

"How can Elijah compel another vampire?" Elena asked Stefan

"He's an original. I don't really know what that means. I don't think anybody knows what that means. Well, except maybe Isobel. I'll be sure to ask her," Stefan said

Later that day Evelyn walked into the Salvatore house, but it was deadly quiet

"Elena?" Evelyn called out, not hearing anything she walked up to Stefans room. She tried opening the door but it was blocked

"Elena?" Evelyn called out, suddenly she heard things moving and Elena opened the door

"Where's Rose?" Elena asked

"Umm. No one's here," Evelyn told her sister

"Crap!" Elena said and called Damon immediately

"What's going on?" Evelyn asked extremely confused

"I lost Rose. She's really sick and hallucinating," Elena explained

"Oh God," Evelyn said sprinting out to her car

"What happened?" Elena asked getting in the passenger seat

"There's a party in the town square," Evelyn said speeding off towards the town center

After the twins found Damon they were walking around until they heard a woman scream

"Stop!" Evelyn screamed

"Katerina!" Rose said and went to charge at her but Damon stopped her

"Rose," Damon said snapping her out of the hallucination

Once they got Rose to the boarding house, Elena went to comfort her with Damon, while Evelyn got blood bags and spare sheets

As she was walking up the stairs she saw Elena walking down

"What happened?" Evelyn asked

Just then she heard Rose screaming while saying "It hurts. Make it stop,"

That made Evelyn grimace at the unimaginable pain

After Damon had to kill Rose he went out to bury her while the twins waited inside for him.

"You were supposed to leave," Damon said walking in

"We did. Then we came back to make sure that you were okay," Elena said

"I'm just glad it's over," Damon said

"You know we don't believe that," Evelyn

"Go home. Get some rest. It's a whole new day tomorrow," Damon told them

"Damon I'm your friend," Elena said

"I'm well aware of that," He told her

"And a friend usually knows when their friend is hurting," Elena said

"What do you wanna hear? That I cared about Rose. That I'm upset? Well, I didn't and I'm not," Damon said

"There you go, pretending that you turned it off again, pretending not to feel. Damon, you're so close, don't give up," Elena said

"Elena, maybe we should go," Evelyn whispered not wanting to piss him off right now

"I feel Elena okay? And it sucks. What sucks, even more, was that it was supposed to be me. Jules was coming after me," Damon explained

"You feel guilty," Elena muttered

"That would be human of me, Elena. I'm not human. You two are ones to talk about giving up. All you've done is give up. Go home," Damon told them

"Okay. I will," Elena said

Evelyn just went up and hugged him

"I'll catch up later," Evelyn told Elena

"Eve, you should go," Damon said

"That won't work on me. You know that. I'm staying," Evelyn said and poured a drink for them

They just sat on the couch in silence, drinking the bourbon
