"Okay. This week, we're gonna set aside our curriculum for a lesson in local history as we approach founders day. Apparently the community leaders feel that's more important than World War 2. But, hey, what do I know?" Alaric explained to the class

"Sorry I'm late," Bonnie said running into the class

"Looks like we will be at full occupancy. Welcome home Bonnie" Alaric said to her

Evelyn gave her a warming smile at seeing her best friend

"Right, Founders day..." Alaric started saying

Bonnie looked at the twins then saw Stefan and looked towards the front

"Bonnie," Elena said and she and Evelyn approached her later

"Hey. We tried to grab you after class but you had already taken off" Evelyn explained walking with her

"How are you? How's your family?" Elena asked concerned

"We're dealing. It's been hard" Bonnie explained

"Everyone here really missed you," Evelyn said to the witch

"Yeah, I had so much to do after Grams funeral, and after you told me the tomb spell failed I just didn't really wanna come back," Bonnie said honestly to the twins

"I hope you understand why I called. I wanted you to know before you came home" Elena explained

"I understand why. I just shouldn't know" Bonnie said

"I know it's been really hard" Evelyn started to say but was cut off by Caroline coming over

"Bonnie. Bonnie, thank god you're home. I know we talked every day but I still missed you. How are you doing?" Caroline said hugging Bonnie

As Caroline said that the twins looked at Bonnie as the witch had ignored them the whole time while she was away

"Better. It's better, you know?" Bonnie told her

"Okay. You need to help me pick the perfect dress for the founder's court" Caroline told Bonnie

"The Founders Court? Did I miss something?" Evelyn said looking at Caroline

"The founder's court. You know, Miss Mystic Falls. They announced it today. You two and I are both on it" Caroline said to them

"Oh my god, we signed up for that so long ago. I completely forgot" Elena mumbled

"So are you dropping out then?" Caroline asked them

"We can't. Our mum is the one who wanted us to enter" Evelyn told Caroline looking down

"Hey Tyler" Evelyn said approaching him

"Hey Eve," Tyler said hugging her

"So, are you a date to Miss Mystic Falls?" Evelyn asked him hoping for him to say no

"Not that I know of," He said with a shrug

"Great! Well, I just got on the Founders Court, and I really need a date. Will you do me the honors of being my escort?" Evelyn asked him

"Hmmm. I don't know" Tyler asked teasing her

"Hey, when we were 9 you promised me. We spit shook on it" Evelyn said bumping his shoulder

"Okay. Okay, I'll go. Don't remind me of that it was gross" Tyler said
