"I can't believe Tyler Lockwood is a werewolf," Jeremy said to the twins

"We're not sure about that yet," Elena told him

"The only thing we are sure is Mason Lockwood is," Evelyn further explained

"That should be easy enough to figure out," Jeremy told them

"There is no us. We said we wouldn't keep things from you anymore. That doesn't mean we want you involved in it," Elena said to her brother

"By definition of this family, I'm involved," Jeremy said while pointing at the ring around his finger

"This is dangerous, Jeremy. You have to stay out of this, okay?" Evelyn told him

"All right, just saying," Jeremy said and walked off

Later on that day at the Historical Memorial Park, all the town as gathered to help put it together

Elena and Caroline were off painting somewhere while Evelyn was planting flowers

"Peppy Gilbert, come with me," Damon said walking up to her

"Um, why?" She asked but just followed him anyway

"We're going to go talk to a little werewolf" Damon explained

"Hello, Mason, working hard?" Damon said as they walked up to him

"Doing my part" Mason said

"Heard you talked to Stefan?" Damon asked him

"Nice guy," Mason told him

"Yeah, a lot nicer than me," Damon told him

"Yeah, nice is overrated," Evelyn said

"Yeah, might want to learn to keep her out of this," Mason said looking at Evelyn

"Oh. I can handle myself, trust me" Evelyn said

"I'll take your word for it. Have a nice day" Mason told them and walked off

"Please tell me you were just bonding," Stefan asked walking up to them

"Yup, they were sharing girl tips and seeing who's ego was bigger," Evelyn told the younger Salvatore

"Totally. So what's up with this faux drama in the relationship?" Damon asked

"What are you talking about?" Stefan asked playing dumb

"Oh, come on, Stefan. You and Elena don't fight. Especially not over me" Damon told his brother

"Drop it, Damon," Stefan told him

"Would you like some lemonade?" A little girl asked holding out a cup

"Thank you, sweetie," Damon said taking the cup

As Damon took a sip he suddenly spits it out and started coughing

"What's wrong with you?" Stefan asked patting his back

"Vervain. Vervain" Damon just hissed out

"I'm gonna kill him," Damon said while gargling water

"No," Evelyn said to him

"I'm not listening to more of your 'give peace a chance' crap. He's dead" Damon said while Stefan pushed him down

"Okay. I don't like it. But he's making threats. He could expose us. We need to put him down" Stefan said with his hands on his brother's shoulders
