"So, which restaurant is missing a compelled chef?" Hayley asked as she ate the food on a table in the compound with Evelyn

"Certainly a card played in the past, but I had no hand in it," Klaus said

"Guess we have to thank Elijah then," Evelyn said

"This wasn't my doing," Elijah said walking in

"Then when did this all come from?" Hayley said and suddenly a plate with a cover over it moved

"Oh, hell no," Evelyn said stepping back

Klaus pulled the lid off and two birds flew out

"An invitation from our mother," Klaus said reading a piece of paper

"She may be a bitch, but at least she's a bitch with a good taste in food," Evelyn said eating a grape

"And it is times like this I'm thankful mine wasn't a crazy bitch. Scratch that. She may have been a vampire hunter but one thing is certain, she wasn't crazy," Evelyn said after

"We have enough enemies here. And now the war for our home is to be fought against my own family," Klaus said

"You're wretched mother and her disciples tried to put a knife throw my baby's heart. I will happily add to the body count," Hayley said

"And your mother did slit my throat when I was entirely human," Evelyn added

"You'll do no such thing. Esther is a master in the art of possession. We know whos body she currently inhabits. We must decipher her intentions before she finds a new host," Elijah said

"Well, her last invitation was an assassination attempt on her children. I think we can assume her intentions is not to have a family, friendly dinner to catch up on the last 1000 years," Evelyn said

"Well then, we have this afternoon to prepare for the worst," Elijah said walking out

"Bloom is off the rose, I see," Klaus said following his brother

"Shut up," Hayley said and Evelyn started laughing making Hayley punch her arm

"Ow!" Evelyn said

"Skip the salad course, let's not make this dreadful evening any longer then it needs to be," Klaus said

"So I guess letting Oliver live paid off. He just informed me your mum has a partner in crime. Another witch," Hayley said walking in and Evelyn choked on her drink

"Building alliances in her quest to destroy us, I imagine," Klaus said

"Why does she hate you so much, Klaus? She had six kids, it's not like she doesn't have the maternal gene," Hayley said

"Seven, actually. And I think at one time she loved us very much. One died before I was born," Klaus said

"I didn't know that," Hayley said
