"You're arresting him for what this nutjob Dr. Fell says?" Damon asked Liz as they stood across from Alaric who was in a cell

"No, I'm detaining him. The cell is for his own good. You were shot. Dr. Fell used vampire blood to heal you," Liz explained

"Dr. Fell shot me," Alaric snapped

"Because you come at her with a knife," Liz

"Yeah, with a knife I found in her things," Alaric said

"Liz, come on. I've attempted to murder heaps of people and I never got shot. Somethings up with Dr. Creppy," Evelyn said

"You know I'm a cop right, and you just admitted to trying to murder people," Liz said to her

"Oops," Evelyn muttered

"Are we gonna ignore that he's one of the victims? He was practically stabbed to death," Damon said

"Dr. Fell seems to think his wounds could have been self-inflicted," Liz said

"Dr. Fell this, Dr. Fell that, god, she is not god," Evelyn muttered and walked away

"What were you thinking?" Evelyn asked Matt and Elena in the sheriff's office

"I know we had no right," Elena said

"No right? You broke the law," Liz said

"But we found something that clears Alaric," Elena said

"You mean this?" Liz asked holding a piece of paper

"What is that?" Evelyn asked

"A letter from the coroners' office correcting the error in the time of death in Brian Walter's murder. Meredith Fell received it today. She brought it to me several hours ago," Liz explained

"Why would she have a copy of it in her close?" Matt asked

"I can't answer those questions, Matt, because you broke into her home to find it," Liz snapped

"Do you know how much Liz is already protecting you both?" Evelyn asked

"I'm sorry," Elena apologized

"Just...get out of my office and go home please," Liz said

"Sorry about that sheriff, kids these days," Evelyn said and walked out with Elena and Matt

Evelyn was sitting on her back porch when Kol appeared beside her

"What are you doing here?" Evelyn asked

"Came to see you, I missed you and I was bored," Kol explained

"What is this?" Evelyn asked motioning between the two

"What do you mean?" Kol asked confused

"Well, I kissed you, you kissed me back. We like each other. What are we?" Evelyn asked

"What do you want us to be?" Kol asked with a smirk

"I don't know," Evelyn whispered

"Evelyn Gilbert, would you do me the extraordinary honors of being my girlfriend?" Kol asked standing in front of you

"I would be honored," Evelyn said and Kol kissed her

Evelyn started laughing and laugh she hadn't done in years.

"Before you date me. You need to understand that I am damaged. That there are nights where I'll curl up in a ball and not talk to anyone. I'll shut you out. But I will need you. I'm a lot, I know this. So before you think I'm all sunshine and rainbows, know the reality and don't enter my life if you can't handle it, I need you to choose me," Evelyn told him

"I know who you are, Evelyn. And you are perfect for me, all your flaws are perfect to me. I am damaged too, but we're two perfectly damaged people that fit together. I will choose you. And I'll choose you, over and over again. Without a pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I'll keep choosing you," Kol told her

Evelyn stood up and walked to the door

"Would you like to come in?" Evelyn asked him

"It would be my pleasure," Kol said and they went to her room

"What am I going to tell the others? They'll kill me," Evelyn said lying down on her bed

"They should be happy for you, if they're not, they don't deserve you," Kol said lying down next to her

"I know," Evelyn said layin her head on his chest

"I have completely fallen for you, everything you do, everything you say, everything you are. You are my first thought in the morning, and my last thought at night and you're almost every thought in between," Kol said

"Who knew you could be so cheesy," Evelyn said and Kol stroked her hair

"Only for you," Kol said
