Prologue

"I told you, girls, I wanted you home for family game night with Aunt Jenna," Mum said

Evelyn sighed and rested her head against her older twin sister by 6 minutes

"You know we are going to get in so much trouble right" Elena whispered to her twin sister

"Oh, I know. I am just trying to postpone it as long as possible" Evelyn replied to her sister

"Mum, look I know you are disappointed and angry and all that. But I and Elena just wanted to have fun" Evelyn said to her mother

"Yes I know, all that fun" Her mother replied sarcastically "Do you know what else will be fun"

Evelyn and Elena looked at each other questioningly them back to their mother and shrugged.

"Doing all Jermey's chores for a month" Her mother said

Both the twins scoffed and leaned their head against the headrest and closed their eyes dreading the month that will soon come

A few minutes passed and Evelyn was starting to get angsty. Her father usually has something kind of opinion on these matters and he hasn't said a word

"Dad when will be-" Evelyn said

Her dad didn't get the chance to reply and their car swerved off the road and over the bridge. Plunging into the water.

"Ahhhh" They all screamed together as their car forcefully hit the water

Evelyn woke up and opened her eyes seeing black dots everywhere. She looked around in shock and her car was cascaded in water. Turning her head tot he right she saw her sister banging her fist against the window attempting to break it.

"ELENA" Evelyn said in shock

Her sister's head whipped around and widened when she realized that there was no point they were stuck.

"Eve. I love you so much, you need to know that" Elena said to her sister feeling like these will be their last moments

"I love you too, I know I don't say it a lot but I can't imagine life without you" Evelyn replied to her sister with tears streaming down both their faces

Just as their hands clasped together they felt another join them. They turned and saw their father with a broken and hopeless look in his eyes.

"You girls have grown into such beautiful young women and I am so proud to call you my daughters. I love you to the moon and back" Their Dad said trying to make the most before their time is up.

Evelyn waited for her mother to join their family moment but when she didn't. Evelyn looked to her seat to see blood pouring out of her head.

Evelyn chocked back a sob at seeing her mother in that position. Just as Evelyn was about to say something she suddenly became aware of the rising water. Her heart started pounding in her chest and at this moment she felt utterly helpless.

Elena and Evelyn gave each other loving looks just as the water reached above their heads

Elena screamed out as she saw Evelyn started floating in the water with her eyes open staring past her

Just when Elena went unconscious a man jumped into the water to the submerged car. He saw the father still conscious and attempted to get him when he started waving his hands to the back seat. The man caught onto it and saw to young girls both with their hands clasped together.

He grabbed both girls and swam back to the surface and laid them down, to dive back in to save their father. But when he got down there he found him already dead. He decided that he would try his best to save the girls

He gave CPR to the girl when he screamed

"Come on wake up. Breathe!"

Just as he said that she started choking on the water that was in her lungs. Just as she opened her eyes they fluttered shut again, sinking back into unconsciousness.

Seeing that they both had strong heartbeats and were fine he quickly disappeared at hearing sirens in the distance

Evelyn learned that she had been dead for 5 minutes
