"Have you even talked to Bonnie?" Elena asked Caroline as the two and Evelyn walked towards the school

"No, I'm mad at her. She needs to make the first move" Caroline said denying Elenas suggestion

"Be the bigger person?" Evelyn told her

"Ugh, impossible in her presence" Caroline admitted

"Why are you so pissed at it anyway?" Elena asked

"She's a thief, that's why. I gave her my necklace and she refuses to give it back. It's a matter of principle" Caroline told the twins

"All right, we tried, we are officially out of it," Evelyn told Caroline and linked her arms with the two

"Good. Elena's turn. Where's Stefan?" Caroline asked

"He's avoiding me" Elena murmured

"Why?" Caroline asked

"It's complicated," Elenas said

The twins walked into the class and took their seats as the new history teacher walked in and wrote his name on the chalkboard

"Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful I know. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins, my family immigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably wanna announce it Ala-ric but it's A-lar-ic okay? You can call me Ric? I'm your new history teacher" The new teacher said as he introduced himself

"And then I ended up at the remains of Old Fells Chruch before I woke up back in the woods" Bonnie explained to the twins sitting at a picnic table outside

"And you always see your ancestor Emily?" Elena questioned

"Do you believe in ghosts?" Bonnie asked

"I mean kinda, they could be real," Evelyn told Bonnie

"I think I'm being haunted," Bonnie said to them both

"I don't get it. Why Emily?" Evelyn asked

"Grams said she was a powerful witch in the civil war days. And this medallion belonged to her. A witches talisman" Bonnie further explained

"And it all started when you got that necklace?" Elena asked

"I think she's using it to communicate with me" Bonnie admitted

"What did your Grams say about it?" Evelyn asked

"I can't call her. She's gonna tell me to embrace it. I don't wanna embrace it. I want it to stop" Bonnie told them honestly

"Remember how I said it would be cool to be a witch? Yeah I take that back" Evelyn said to the two
