As I Lay Dying

Evelyn's outfit ^^^

Evelyn watched from Jeremy's doorway as he slept and quietly shut the door. She saw Jenna's door open and walked inside looking at how everything was left how she left it. She walked over to her dresser picking up the perfume and smelling it, tears gathered in her eyes at how it smelled like her aunt.

She saw a jacket spread across the chair in the corner of the room and put it on letting the smell surround her

"That'll get easier. But you know that" Damon said as she walked out of the room

"What do you want?" Evelyn asked

"I wanna apologize. And I know I don't deserve your forgiveness for everything I have done, but I need it," Damon said

Evelyn knew that Damon was apologizing because he was dying and he needed to say it

"I forgive you, I forgave you a long time ago," Evelyn said and hugged him

"It's gonna be okay. You'll be okay," Evelyn told him hinting

"It won't, but you'll be okay, you can survive this," Damon told her, they both stayed in silence as they both know the other knew the truth

Evelyn knew that Stefan would do everything he could to find a cure, and Evelyn was going to help even if Stefan didn't know it

After Evelyn found out that Klaus could have a cure she immediately went to Alaric's apartment where he was bound to be. Evelyn already knew Stefan would be there by now

As she ran into the apartment she saw Stefan sitting on the ground drinking a blood bag with multiple empty ones surrounding him

"Stop!" Evelyn said

"Evelyn, get out of here," Stefan chocked out while trying to stay in control

"Look who we have here, are you here to make a deal to?" Klaus asked

Evelyn looked wide-eyed as she saw Elijah laying on the floor with a dagger in his heart

"I'll do anything, just make Stefan stop, don't make him become this person, just give me the cure," Evelyn said knowing how much Stefan hated that part of himself

"I don't know how much help you would be to me, sweetheart," Klaus said

"Please, I'll do anything just give us the cure," Evelyn begged

"Evelyn, no, you can't do this, leave," Stefan said

Katherine just watched with worried eyes at the younger doppelganger not knowing what Klaus would do to her

"Please," Evelyn whispered

"Don't you want to stay here?" Klaus asked

"My twin sister and aunt are dead. I have nothing to stay for," Evelyn said trying to convince him, while also making him believe Elena was still dead

"I guess we can add you to the deal," Klaus said

"Please, don't make her do this," Stefan pleaded

"Sweetheart, take this over to Damon and come right back," Klaus compelled Katherine

"You want me to leave?" Katherine asked

"Yes, and if I were you...I'd hurry," Klaus said as Katherine disappeared

"She'll never take it to him," Evelyn said

Klaus just shrugged

"Well, it's me you should be thanking. I mean, I'm the one who brought the cure," Katherine said as she looked at Damon and Elena

"I thought you were dead," Katherine said

"I was," Elena told her

"You got free," Damon whispered as Katherine poured Klaus's blood into his mouth

"Yep. Finally," Katherine said

"And you still came here?" Damon asked

"I owed you one," Katherine said patting his cheek

"Where's Stefan and Evelyn?" Elena asked

"Are you sure you care?" Katherine asked her

"Where are they?" Elena demanded

"They're paying for this. They gave themselves over to Klaus. I wouldn't expect them any time soon," Katherine informed them

"What do you mean "gave themselves over"?" Elena asked

"Stefan sacrificed everything to save his brother, including you. It's a good thing you have Damon to keep you company," Katherine said

"Wait, what about Evelyn?" Elena said

"She made sure nothing to bad would happen, let's put it that way, goodbye Elena. Oh, it's okay to love them both. I did," Katherine said and strutted out

As Klaus was putting Elijah's coffin in the warehouse they were at Evelyn couldn't stop looking at one in particular

"Put him with the others. We're leaving town tonight," Klaus told the men as they took the coffins away

"So, did Katerina make it in time?" Klaus asked them

"You won't be seeing her again," Stefan told the hybrid

"Because she's on vervain? I've been around for a long time, Stefan. I rarely get played for a fool. Besides, she won't get far, you'll help me see to that," Klaus said

"What is it you really want from me?" Stefan asked him

"All will be explained in time. Once we leave this tragic little town," Klaus told him

"Then can we leave," Evelyn asked

"Not quite, you see, I have a gift for you. Come here, sweetheart," Klaus said and a girl walked out

"See, I wanna make sure you honor our deal, that you'll be of use to me," Klaus told Stefan while biting into her neck

"I could have compelled her to behave, but a real ripper enjoys the hunt," Klaus said and the girl ran off screaming, Stefan quickly disappeared after her

"The deal was that Stefan didn't become a ripper," Evelyn said

"Yes, I won't turn him into a ripper. He will do that all by himself. Come on, love. Time to leave," Klaus told her
