The Last Day

"Elena said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake. That's it's actually a curse placed on Klaus," Stefan asked Elijah

"Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it, he'll be a true hybrid," Elijah confirmed

"Then why are we letting him break it? We can kill him today. With Bonnie," Damon said walking in

"Damon, no. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying," Evelyn said

"I'll write her a great eulogy," Damon commented

"There are approximately 1,010,300 words in the English language, but I could never string enough words together to properly express how much I want to snap your neck," Evelyn told him

"All right, how do we break this curse?" Stefan asked

"The ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know," Elijah said

"The moonstone," Stefan said

"A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus being both werewolf and vampire will sacrifice one of each," Elijah remarked

"And where do I fit in?" Evelyn asked

"The final part of the ritual. Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelganger to the point of your death," Elijah said

"And that's where you come in," Evelyn said as they all looked at her scared

"This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation," Elijah said holding a bottle

"So I'll be dead?" Evelyn asked

"And then you won't," Elijah said

"That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date? You wanna come back to life, what about John's ring?" Damon commented

"Those rings only work on humans. A doppelganger appearance is a supernatural occurrence. Odds are the ring won't work," Elijah said

"I'll take those odds over the elixir," Damon said

"Remember when we asked for your opinion? Yeah, me neither," Evelyn said

"What if it doesn't work?" Damon asked her

"Then I guess I'll just be dead," Evelyn said

Damon just stormed out of the room

"Eve, I will not let you go through with this," Elena said

"It's fine I'll come back, anyway if you did it, you would come back. It's not a big difference," Evelyn told her sister

"What happens if you die, huh? What will I do then?" Elena asked

"You'll arrange a funeral and bury me or cremate me, I guess," Evelyn said

"No. I'm gonna be the sacrifice, it's simple," Elena said

"No, you will not and nothing will change my mind," Evelyn said and got up

"You'd think he'd be willing to understand why I'm willing to do this," Evelyn told Elijah as the others had left

"Why are you?" He asked

"I'm the key to breaking the curse. Klaus is here because of me. If I don't stop him, then he's gonna hurt people. It's that simple," Evelyn told him

"You know there's a possibility this elixir won't work. I don't want to mislead you," Elijah said

"I know the chance I'm taking. No one can rescue me. I know because I let them already try. It didn't work. This is on me now," Evelyn said

Evelyn was waiting outside with Elena and Stefan for Klaus to come to get her

"You had me all nervous. I thought maybe you'd done something stupid. You ready, my dear?" Klaus asked her

"I'm ready," Evelyn said and started walking forwards but Elena stopped her

"I'm so sorry this is happening. I love you so much, and this is why I have to do this," Elena said and nodded at Stefan

Stefan quickly grabbed Evelyn and held her back

"Let go of me!" Evelyn screamed

"I love you," Elena told her sister

"No!" Evelyn screamed as Klaus and her disappeared

Stefan let go of her and Evelyn turned around and started punching him

"You idiot, why did you do that?!" Evelyn shouted at him

Stefan just kept letting her punch him
