"It's so hard to see him locked up like this" Elena said looking through the cellar doors where Stefan was being kept

"You're the one who locked him up," Damon told her

"You helped," Evelyn said looking at him

"I couldn't have him running around chewing on people while the town was looking for vampires, could I?" Damon told the twins

"So it had nothing to do with you actually caring about him," Elena said turning to look at him

"Your thing, not mine" Damon stated

Damon just walked away and the twins looked at Stefan who was sleeping on the ground

"Did you ever figure out what that does?" Evelyn asked Damon as he picked up the mystery invention

"Nope, whatever it is it doesn't work," He told her

"Pearl didn't say anything?" Elena asked him

"Thought she was stealing his vampire compass, but it was a pocket watch," Damon told them

"That Jonathan Gilbert was a crazy scientist, kinda happy I'm not related to him," Evelyn said putting on her coat

"Have you spoke to your Uncle lately?" Damon asked the twins

"We've been avoiding him," Elena said to Damon

"I'll see you later," Evelyn told him as the twins walked out the door

"Hey. I'm grabbing some more clothes then I'll be over" Evelyn told Damon through the phone

"He won't eat anything," Damon told her

"He has to eat, he knows that. What's his favorite kind of, umm.?" Evelyn asked him

"His favorite kind of what?" He asked

"Type of animal blood," Evelyn asked

"Ew. Hurry up I have things to do" Damon told her impatiently

"I would say drop dead.." Evelyn told him

"Ha, ha. Stefan likes puppy blood. Little golden retrievers, cute, floppy ears" Damon told her cheekily

"Not funny. I'll get him anything except a deer I don't have to recreate Bambi" Evelyn told him hanging up

Just as she hung up she shit her closet door to reveal her uncle

"Sorry," He told her

"Uncle John. I didn't see you there" Evelyn muttered

"I thought we could talk. We haven't had the chance to catch up" John told her walking into her room

"I'm actually just heading out," Evelyn said

"Well it won't take long," He told her

"What do you wanna talk about?" Evelyn asked getting annoyed

"I know you know," John said looking at her

"Know what?" Evelyn asked playing dumb

"It's really silly to keep pretending. What do you think your mother would say if she knew you were friends with vampires?" John asked

"Which mother?" Evelyn snapped raising an eyebrow and walking out
