Evelyn's outfit ^^^

Evelyn was tossing and turning all night not able to get Kol out of her head. She decided to go to the Mystic Grill as she didn't want to be in the house

After she ate she stood on the edge of the sidewalk about to walk across the street when a car came out of nowhere and almost hit her. But before it could she was pulled away

Evelyn looked up to see Kol

"Fancy meeting you here," Evelyn said

"You should really be more careful, darling," Kol said trying to conceal the worry in his voice

"Trust me, I've almost died multiple times, I guarantee you when I do die it will not be because of a car," Evelyn said

"Since we're both here, would you like to get something to eat?" Kol asked

"I just ate, but we could get a drink?" Evelyn suggested

"Isn't it a little early to be drinking?" Kol said

"Not in our world, it isn't," Evelyn said as they walked up to the bar

They had been there for about an hour when Klaus walked up to them and they saw Caroline enter

"She looks like a tasty little thing," Kol said

"Say another word and I'll tears out your liver," Klaus threatened

"Oh. Overprotective," Evelyn commented

"Caroline," Klaus called out

"Oh, it's you," Caroline said crossing her arms, Kol and Evelyn were trying their hardest not to laugh

"Join us for a drink?" Klaus asked

"Hmm, I'd rather die of thirst. But thanks," Caroline said and walked off

"Isn't she stunning?" Klaus asked

"She certainly looks good walking away from you," Evelyn said

"You just got rejected. Evelyn's right, this will be fun," Kol said

"I'll take that as a challenge," Klaus said walking away

"How come when Klaus let you beat him up and insult him, you haven't been killed?" Kol asked

"He's got it through his mind that we're gonna be the next Bonnie and Clyde," Evelyn said

"Ha, ha. Would you like another drink?" Kol asked her

"I would love one," Evelyn said and watched Kol walk up to the bar but was suddenly daggered by Alaric, she immediately shot up and ran after him as they dragged him out

She immediately ran out as Damon was stopped by Klaus

"I should have killed you months ago," Klaus said and Evelyn put Kol's head in her lap

"Do it. It's not gonna stop Esther from killing you," Damon said

"What did you say about my mother?" Klaus said walking up to him

"You didn't know I was friend with your mummy? We have a lot in common. She hates you as much as I do," Damon said and Klaus was about to attack him but Elijah stopped him

"Leave him. We still need him, Niklaus," Elijah said

"What did mother do?" Klaus asked his brother

"You tell me where the witches are or I'll have my sister kill Elena right now," Elijah said to Damon

"What?!" Evelyn asked

"You told me we had until after 9," Damon said

Suddenly Kol started waking up but Evelyn didn't notice and kept running her hands through his hair

"I'm sure Rebekah would be more than happy to start her work early," Elijah said

Damon and Stefan took off

"What is he talking about?" Evelyn asked looking between them as Kol stood up

They all stayed silent

"Today. Was it just a distraction?" Evelyn asked Kol

"No, I-" Kol started to say

"Don't, just don't," Evelyn said and walked off

After Evelyn was told how Esther was almost successful in killing the originals she went straight home

What she didn't expect was to see a letter on her bed

"Evelyn,

Today I did things I abhor to protect the one thing I value most: My Family. If anyone could understand that, it's you. I am aware of how much you struggle to live your life, you are afraid of the person you will become. But do not be, that is what makes you, you. This life is extremely challenging, I am aware of that, but you can't live your life surviving. You have to live it. My family has been running for 1000 years and hasn't had a place to call home. Mystic Falls gave me that home, as it did for Kol. You two may not have known each other for a while, but when you are around Kol smiles, a smile I haven't seen on his face since he was human. You both are extremely alike in ways and can help each other live, not survive.

Elijah,"

Evelyn took a deep breath not noticing that anyone saw how she and Kol looked at each other.

Evelyn walked outside and sat down on the steps thinking, she only looked up as she felt a presence, Kol

"I wasn't distracting you today. I was with you because I enjoy your company, and because I know you feel the same way I do. I've realized that I like you a lot but people like you can't be with people like me," Kol told her

"I am so utterly terrified of how I feel about you. I am so scared to let my feelings in and for them to get crushed because once you've been hurt, you're so scared to get attached again. You have this fear that everyone you like is gonna break your heart. I have lived with this fear and let it control and shape me, but I need to feel. I need to feel, otherwise, I am going to end up scared and alone, but you, I am so scared you'll break my heart," Evelyn admitted

"So many people are scared of being hurt that they close themselves off from being loved. I am one of those people. I have been around for 1000 years and have never been able to love, and now that I feel an ounce of what that feels like, I don't want it to be ripped away," Kol explained

"I get it. I really do, and falling in love is dangerous. I know what people are. I know what they can do. Being in love means being hurt beyond repair and I'm already broken enough, I can't completely break you to," Evelyn said and stood up and was about to enter her house when Kol's voice stopped her

"I want to let you go, but I can't. I know I could live without you, as painful as it could be, but I am too selfish. I can't let you go. Because it is so rare to find someone who genuinely cares about you. And you are that person," Kol told her as he stood on the bottom step

"This will probably come back to bite me in the ass, and will probably be a big mistake, but you are that person," Evelyn said and kissed Kol. He immediately kissed her back

Sparks exploded and they felt like they were meant to each other. They were two perfectly broken people that fit together
