"Still sleeping. Lost in visions of horror and dreams of love. And still so strong. So full of life. To willful to take my offer," Esther said talking to Evelyn's unconscious body

"I remember who you were before this happened. Innocent. Kind. If she knew that you would turn into this creature she would have been so disappointed," Esther said

She slit Evelyn's throat and started chanting as Evelyn gasped

"Where is she?!" Kol shouted at Klaus

"We don't know," Klaus said

"What do you mean?" Kol shouted getting angry

"Calm down. We think Mother has her and Elijah, we need your help to find them," Klaus said

"I don't know where she is," Kol said frustrated with himself

Klaus ran into the room where Evelyn was and ripped the doll hanging from the roof and ripped the chains from her wrists and ankles

"Wake up. Evelyn? You need to wake up," Klaus said

"She won't wake up. Not yet. Which give you and I one last chance to discuss my offer," Esther said walking in

"You promised me Elijah and Evelyn's safe return. What was that, a lie? Just like that ghoulish atrocity outside claiming to be my father back from the dead," Klaus said

"You're father's return is real. I pulled him from the other side before it collapsed. Left him in the Bayou to join the wolves. And I used the execution of one of his own to draw him here. Where I knew he'd find you," Esther said

"To what end? Besides my torment?" Klaus said

"I brought him here to be the father you never had. To teach you the man you always longed to be. Once you are remade a werewolf, you can join him," Esther said

"His return changes nothing," Klaus said

"It changes everything. It is my gift to you, Niklaus. This offer is your last chance at salvation. Reject me now, and you will live out your endless days alone and unloved. Do not refuse me out of some ancient spite-" Esther said

"It is not in spite. Hatred. A pure and perfect hatred that's greater now than the day I took your life," Klaus said and they argued back and forth until Klaus strangled her and walked out of the tomb carrying Evelyn bridal style

Klaus walked into the compound with Evelyn after he took Elijah there and took her to her room unsure how to wake her from the spell cast by his mother

"I know you in a battle, however deep my mother has taken you into your mind, hear my voice. My mother thinks she will win because she has left you alone. But you are not alone. Let me in. Let me help whatever torment she has forced upon you," Klaus said trying to get inside Evelyn's mind but just got glimpses of blood and torment

"What are you doing?" Hayley asked as she jumped back

"I'm trying to enter her thoughts to wake her. Esther has locked me out too," Klaus said

"You tried with Elijah, it didn't work. She has the same rash on her neck, is it a side-affect of the witchy acid trip they're on?" Hayley said

"I haven't seen this since I was a child," Klaus said

"You can't catch me, Evelyn," Jeremy said as Evelyn chased him when they were younger

"You're getting faster, Jeremy, but you're not fast enough," Evelyn said and suddenly he disappeared and she was in the woods all alone

"Jeremy?" Young Evelyn called

"There you are, do you understand, only one day a monster shall remain in you," Evelyn said appearing in front of her younger self covered in blood

Kol was doing everything he could to wake Evelyn from the spell cast from his mother but it was extremely complicated and he couldn't do it himself, it was only then that Klaus told him about the roots needed to cure her from a plant their mother used

Kol walked into the room to see Evelyn lying on the bed still panting and covered in sweat looking the exact same as Elijah

He carefully applied a paste to her neck to cure her

Evelyn was standing in front of her younger self in a daze

Suddenly Kol appeared in front of her

"You are not a monster, you are many things but a monster is not one of them. I need you, we need you. We cannot do this without you. So, I need you to wake up because I don't know if I can do this without you. I love you, darling," Kol said placing his hands on her face

Suddenly Evelyn shot up gasping on her bed

"You're okay, it's okay," Kol said pulling her into him

"Is this real?" Evelyn asked looking around

"It's real. Esther isn't here anymore, it's okay," Kol said soothing her like he always did

Evelyn sat on the edge of her bed looking at her hands that were shaking, flashes of everything terrible she had done flashed before her eyes

She quickly got up and walked downstairs to see Finn and Kol chained up

"Let him go," Evelyn told them

"Darling," Kol said smiling

"You knew who he was?" Klaus asked

"Of course I did. He could fool you, but not me," Evelyn said

Evelyn looked over at Elijah who looked more on edge than usual and they locked eyes knowing what they experienced was far from over
