Once Evelyn was told Elena was in the hospital she went there immediately

Evelyn ran into the room to see Elena lying on the bed, Jeremy stood up as she walked in

"What happened?" Evelyn asked

"We're not sure, we found her lying on the ground. Dr. Fell said she'll be fine," Jeremy explained

"Thank god," Evelyn said sitting down and grabbing her sister's hand

After Jeremy got off the phone with Damon they immediately took Elena home

Kol and Evelyn were at the Lockwood mansion when Elijah walked in

"Hello, Evelyn, Kol," Elijah said

"Hello, big brother," Kol said

"Hey. What are you doing here?" Evelyn asked

"I was told about Alaric and the weapon he possesses, I have come to make a deal with Elena," Elijah explained

"What kind of deal?" Evelyn asked

"We want Klaus and the weapon in exchange for us leaving and Alaric follow us, I should be going now," Elijah told them

"Be careful. They still have the stake," Evelyn said

"I will," Elijah said and disappeared

"We should leave like I said," Kol said

"We can leave when this all blows over, they'll never forgive me if I just leave and abandon them," Evelyn said

"Okay. As soon as this is over I am whisking you away somewhere," Kol said

"Ooo. Paris," Evelyn said

"I haven't been there in centuries," Kol said

The couple was sitting on the couch waiting for Elijah to get back when they got a call from him

"Where are you?" Kol asked

Evelyn watched as Kol's face dropped and he hung up the phone

"What happened?" Evelyn asked

"It's Klaus. Alaric killed him," Kol said with tears in his eyes

"What?" Evelyn whispered

"Rebekah said she needs to kill Alaric," Kol said looking at her

"But the only way to kill him is....NO!" Evelyn said and stood up

"They failed on their side of the deal, Rebekah wants to take down Alaric," Kol said

"No! They can't. Where are they? Where are they?!" Evelyn shouted

"Wickery Bridge," Kol whispered and Evelyn disappeared and appeared on the bridge to see Stefan sitting beside Elenas dead body

"No, no, no, you can't be dead," Evelyn said falling beside her sister's body

"Evelyn, I'm so sorry," Stefan said with tears in her eyes

"No! Do something, you have to do something," Evelyn said

"It's too late," Stefan whispered

"No, Bonnie can do a spell, we can get her back," Evelyn said and tears were streaming on her face

Stefan looked up to see Kol behind her and Stefan nodded at him. Kol walked forwards pulling her away from Elena

"No, no, no. I ca-, I can't, it hu-hurts," Evelyn choked out in between sobs

Kol pulled her into his arms letting her fall apart

Damon appeared on the bridge and looked at Elena as a tear slipped down his face, as he looked at Evelyn he lost it and more tears fell

"I am so sorry," Kol whispered stroking her hair as she was shaking from the sobs

After about 1 hour of sitting there crying everyone had left except the couple. Evelyn was just sitting on the edge looking at the car that was submerged

"Rebekah said she was sorry. She didn't want to kill Elena because it would hurt you, she just wanted to protect us," Kol said

"I know, I know. And the horrible thing is, I understand. If someone else had to die to save my family I would kill someone. And it sounds so horrible but Rebekah did the same thing I would, I can't blame her, I'm sorry about Klaus, damn why id everyone dying!" Evelyn said and starting crying again

"It's okay to blame her. She still killed your sister-" Kol said but was cut off by Evelyns phone ringing

"Hello?" She asked

"Eve. There's something I need to tell you," Damon said

"Please don't tell me someone else died," Evelyn said through the phone

"No. It's Elena. She had vampire blood in her system," Damon said

"What?" Evelyn whispered

"She's in transition," Damon concluded
