You hear your team-mate say.

You run off the soccer field to take a 15 minute break. You were carrying the whole team on your back and haven't gotten a break for the half of the game. You fix your ponytail.
You look like this

You might be a pretty face but you're tough on the inside.

The 15 minutes pass and you get up but the coach pulls you down
Coach-Sawyer, you haven't sat down and actually relaxed! You need it. You're only 16 and you need the relaxation.
S-But Coach!
Coach-It's a order and I demand you to do it. You're my best player and I don't want you to hurt yourself.
S-The reason why I'm doing this is because my family is not here and I want to take my mind off it!
You and Coach had a good relationship since your parents didn't come to your games and always allowed you to come over to his place and stay there. You basically live there. You visit your parents sometimes because they're toxic.
Coach-Again?! Damn. But, you need to stay on the bench for the rest of the game on your ass!
S-Fine!
You grab your Gatorade and drink it
Coach-And I want you to meet my top three best players on the boy's team.
You wipe your face with a towel and you look up to see three boys.
Coach-Alejandro and Kairi-
?-Olaf to your correction, Coach
Kai-How bout you shut up?!
?-Make me, Olaf.
S-Shut up!
You shout and they stop bickering
Coach-That's why she's my best player. And this is Mattia.
He points to a guy who called the short one Olaf.
S-Hey.
You say sternly.
S-Coach, just let me play one more score and I'll sit.
Coach-Fine. If you get hurt, my ass ain't taking care.
S-Thank you so much, coach!
You run on the field and you started playing. A girl from the other 'accidentally' head butted your team-mate and stomped on her ankle.
S-Jess!
You ran over to your team-mate and she was holding her ankle, rolling back and forth
S-What the hell was that for?! She did nothing!
The girl had a smirk and you got up close to her face
S-You don't want to try me!
The ref put up a green card as a strike one
S-What the hell?! She stomped on my
team-mate's fucking ankle!
The ref pulls up a yellow card as a strike 2
Coach-Sawyer! Stay out of it!
You scoff and snarl quietly at the ref and you turn to your team-mate and pick her up and sit her down on the bench. The team nurse runs over and checks it and says it's sprained.
S-Godammit! If that ref wasn't on my ass all the time, I would bust her ass up.
Jess-Look Sawyer, it's fine! It's just a sprained ankle.
You scoff and sit down. You start packing up
M-You get pretty pissed on the field? Same.
Kai-I'm not kidding you, he turns to full on dinosaur.
S-Look, I'm not looking for some friends. I hate small talk. Just leave me alone.
You zip up your bag.
The game was done and you were walking to Coach's car but Coach stops you
Coach-Hey I'm really sorry but I have to head somewhere else for a hour so you might have to catch a ride to your parents with Kairi.
You inhale and Kairi was leaning on his car on his phone
S-The shortie? Sure. He's not a pain.
You walk over to Kairi and he sees you and puts away his phone
S-Can I catch a ride with you? To my parents for 15 minutes?
Kai-Sure, get in.
Ale- Were you guys gonna wait for us?
He says walking to the car with Mattia
S-Oh fuck me
M-Gladly.
S-Shut up.
You get in the front and Kairi starts driving. You type in the gps and it's about 45 minutes away. Kairi stayed quiet
G-Sorry if it's far
Kai-Nah, it's okay.
You smile a little. You took off your jersey and Kairi covered his eyes
S-Kai, I'm fine. I have a tank top on.
You were wearing a black spaghetti strap on and you threw on your sweats over your shorts and changed your cleats to vans.
Kai-So you just had a full on outfit change.
S-Yep.
You chuckle. Kairi smiles. You were a little shorter than him. He was 5'4 and you were 5'2. He wasn't a pain in the ass. You finally arrive to the house
S-Stay in the car please.
You walk out of the car and knock on the door. Your mom opens it and you go in.
S-Hi mom.
Mom-Sawyer. Still on the soccer team?
S-Yeah.
Mom scoffs
Mom-You're never gonna get varsity. You kind of suck at soccer
S-Mom! It's just a team!
Mom-You're wasting your time!
S-At least I'm not wasting my time on you!
Mom gasps and scoffs. She slaps you and you hold your face. You run out to the house
S-Fuck you mom! Don't expect me to come back!
You run to the car
S-Just go!
Kairi drives off and you cry a little while holding your face. Mattia put down his phone and grabbed your hand and gently pulled it away from your face and sees a red mark.
M-Did your mom do that?
S-She did it every time I come here so that's why I always come here every two months.
You wipe away your tears and you let down your hair. You fixed it a little
Kairi POV
I drove her to her mom's house and ran out after 5 minutes. She was crying a little and holding her face. Mattia surprisingly was soft and asked Sawyer what happened and she responded with an answer that broke my heart. I look at her with a guilty face. She let down her hair from her pony tail and it was long and luscious. It was a mix of brown and dirty blonde. She was beautiful. She was shivering a little so I took off my favourite orange sweater and gave it to her
Kai-You're cold. Put it on.
She mumbled a thank you and put it on. It was so big on her and she cozied up to the warmth and she slowly fell asleep. I put on some country music
M-Bro, can you turn that shit off?
Kai-fine, god.
I reach to turn it off but Sawyer grabs my hand and pulls it back.
S-I like it.
She falls back asleep, holding my hand. She was exhausted but I didn't want to let go.
Ale-ouuu, is Kairi gonna get some?
I look at Mattia and he was staring at Sawyer holding my hand, like he was.....jealous?
I brush it off and I arrive to Coach's house because I know his address.
