Chapter 50: Flat antics

Leigh's POV
Sitting down on my room after work I was working on a recording plan for the next week but when I heard Alex stomping around the flat like a baby elephant I knew something was up.

Placing down my pencil I walked through to the living room to find Alex on his hands and knees looking under the sofa.
Shaking my head I watched as my big brother crawled around on the floor like a toddler, "Did you lose the remote again?"

His head snapping up Alex looked at me, his blue eyes full of worry, "I've lost Socrates!" He answered panic evident in his voice.

"What do you mean you've lost him?"

"I mean he's gone!! I left the tank lid open for one second and Socrates' gone!" Alex nearly shouted obviously worried about his new pet.

"Now calm down, he will be somewhere, it's not like he could have escaped" I said trying to calm Alex down.

*Meow*

"Shit....." I swore looking around to see Apollo sitting on the floor licking his lips, his green eyes bright and sparkling, "Oh dear...."

"BAD CAT!" Alex shouted at Apollo who ran off into my room and probably under my bed.
"Come back here! Barf up Socrates NOW!" Alex commanded trying to chase after Apollo, he would never catch him, Apollo was to quick and agile. The joys of pets.... Obviously a cat and gecko isn't a good mix.

Sighing I slumped down on the sofa, only to hear a little noise at my ear. Turning my head I looked into the slanted eyes of Socrates, his little speckled body on the back of the sofa.
I knew it wasn't like Apollo to attack anything other than his toys or shoe lace.
Gently picking up the gecko I held him in my hand, "Alex! Leave Apollo alone and get your ass through here!"

Alex stomped back into the room, bless him he looked like he was going to be cry, looks like someone has gotten attached to the little reptile.

"What?!" He mumbled but when he seen Socrates in my hand he freaked, "Socrates! Your not dead!" He cheered taking the gecko and holding him close to his face.

Once he had placed the gecko back in his tank and the lid was firmly on I pointed to Apollo who sat my bedroom door, and now I could see why he has been licking his lips, his chin white from cat milk.
"Someone's got some apologising to do" I told Alex who huffed before picking up Apollo, "I'm sorry I accused you of eating Socrates" he mumbled and I couldn't help but laugh "That's better".

"No! No! Don't kill him!" I shouted at the TV while watching Game of Thrones, I was hooked! I was currently on the third season so was trying to catch up. Avoiding spoilers in the office was a nightmare since everyone has seen up to the recent season four and with the new Game of Thrones game out it was proving even more difficult.

Alex walked into the room his phone in hand, in fact he was so concentrated on it that he nearly walked into the door frame.
Pressing pause I watched as Alex laughed to himself, "What's going on with you?" I asked and Alex blushed, "Uh nothing, just a message".

"From who?" I questioned, "You still talking to that Becca girl?"
Well this made Alex light up like a red beacon and I couldn't help but laugh, "Have you even seen her since I was in Edinburgh with Ross?"
"No..." Alex answered, "But I'm going to see her this weekend" he chimed then I remembered that I was going to Ross' this weekend and that Ross had plans for us on Friday night.

"Oh good, yea I forgot to tell you that I'm spending the weekend at Ross'" I said and Alex's head sprung up, "When did you organise this?"

"Monday..." I answered I could tell that he was thinking about what he had found out on Monday due to my little chat with Hannah.
"Alex, I know your just protecting me but I'm 20, and..." But before I could continue Alex sighed, "It's not like I can stop you, just don't do anything stupid, cause I will end up finding out".

I too let out a sigh, "Okay Mr Smith I will behave" I said in a voice that made it sound like I was being told off by a teacher, then I rolled my eyes and a smile crossed my face.

Well Alex couldn't help but laugh, "Lose the sarcasm".

"Oh I wonder who I get that off of" I chucked but then regretted it as Alex launched himself at me, tickling me, "No Alex! Not fair".

"Well that's a shame isn't it" he laughed, continuing the torture.

Sibling Love.... Well that's what they call it anyway.

Chapter 50 WOW!!!
Just a filler chapter before the proposal between Lewis and Hannah, didn't want to just jump from event to event, so hope this chapter just adds a little character building.
