The Shallow Soul

48 4 1

When the shallow soul

Cries its miseries

And confronts its faults

When the shallow soul

Feels the pain

And understands its faults

When the shallow soul

Shows its anger

And acts on its faults

When the shallow soul

Screams out its hate

And accepts its faults

The shallow soul just might,

Just might find its way

Onto the road –

The path of forgiveness

Not forgiveness towards others

But, the forgiveness it needs the most,

Forgiveness towards itself.
