Chapter 49

Dylan's POV

"So how was it?" Joe asked. Nagkamot ako ng kilay at napangiti ito.

Magkausap kami ngayon through video call dito ako natulog ngayon sa kwarto namin noon ni Caleb. Umupo si Caleb sa tabi ko at kumaway sa kausap ko.

"Hi bro!" bati ni Caleb rito.

Humalakhak si Joe. "Oh hello Caleb! Wow, I am really happy for the both of you."

"Thank you Joe." Sinsero kong pasasalamat, tinapik ako ni Caleb sa balikat at nagpapaaalam na lalabas muna siya saglit, tinanguan ko ito at nagpaalam din ito kay Joe.

"I am really happy for you Dylan, I can see genuine happiness from your eyes."

"Kulang pa din ako Joe." Napangiti ito.

"I want to see Agatha, I want to talk to her. But I can't... hindi ko kayang humingi ng tawad kay Ellie. I don't feel any pity for her... she deserved it. Pero anong gagawin ko? Paano ko haharapin si Agatha?"

"One question bro, did you reconcile with Caleb and your parents because Agatha told you to do it?" Napabuntong hininga ako.

"At first, kaya nga hindi ko agad magawa gawa eh. But in the end, naalala ko yung sinabi mo, ng Mama ni Agatha, and most especially si Agatha. But Ellie is a different story okay? she ruined us! She is the reason--"

"Okay, I got your point. But you also ruined her family business... hindi naman sila kasali. If you want Ellie to learn her lessons you don't need to include her family." Napaiwas ako ng tingin, I got really mad at dumating sa punto na nadala na ako ng galit at wala na akong pakialam kung ano pang madudulot non sa kanya basta makaganti lang ako. All I really wanted was to get even.

"So what should I do? Bring her life back to normal? then babalik siya dito to ruin us again?"

"No! Hindi iyon ang ibig kong sabihin bro, pwede mong ibalik sa dati and at the same time talk to her!" Kumuyom ang kamao ko.

"No! I won't talk to that btch!" Nangagalaiti ako sa galit. 

"Bro, isipin mo na lang ginamit siyang instrumento para magising kayong dalawa ni Agatha para ayusin muna ang mga buhay ninyo, para makafocus siya sa internship niya, sa part time job niya incase she is still planning to do a part time job. Saka para makafocus siya sa pagrereview niya before she became licensed civil engineer. So she can reach her dreams and mapatawad yung sarili niya because inside her head, palagi niya pa ding naiisip ang kamaliang nagawa ninyo kay Caleb. And ofcourse you, nagkaayos kayo ni Caleb at mga magulang mo."

Hindi ako nakasagot, dahil tama naman si Joe.

"So what should I do?" Napangisi si Joe sa naging tanong ko sa kanya.

"Don't ask me Dylan, ask yourself." Nangiti ito ng maluwag. "Ano ang sa tingin mong dapat mong gawin. Don't ask me, ask yourself yung bukal sa loob mo."

Ilang saglit na katahimikan ang namayani sa aming dalawa, ng may isang ideya na pumasok sa isip ko.

"I got a plan, can you still help me?" Napangiti ito.

"Anything, ang akin lang naman gusto ko manggaling sayo yung plano. Yung bukal sayo." Napatango ako.

"I want you to help me gain back their company, I will just leave a letter for them. Ipapadala ko using your team." Tumango ito.

"Hindi ko kayang humarap Joe." Tumango lamang ulit ito saka maliit na ngumiti.

"I understand Dylan, I understand but please make it sincere, okay?"

"Ofcourse."

"Don't do this just because you want to be with Agatha again." Matagal akong hindi nagsalita kaya muli itong nagpaalala sa akin. "Tell me when you are finally ready saka tayo mag-umpisa--"

"Right hindi ko pa kaya sa ngayon it will not be sincere I need time to think about it over and over again kaya kahit siguro sulat lang hindi ko pa din kaya sa ngayon, but we can fix their company as soon as possible, I did her wrong too. She made a mistake and I also made a mistake. I am doing this to finally fix everything. Para wala na akong dadalhin sa puso ko, in the end of the day I still treated her like a friend... a sister."

THREE WEEKS PASSED and today is the day, their family business is back to normal, she also got her wounds treated. Nabalitaan kong maayos na ang lagay nito. I send her the letter through email para makita niya agad ito. This is the end, I can finally breathe.

Ellie's POV

We finally got our company back to normal kaya balik na din sa pagkabusy ang mga magulang ko. They came back to the Philippines, while me? Sa tingin ko maayos na ako rito. My computer beeped indicating I have a notification. I received an email from a person I never thought na icocontact ako.

Subject: I'm sorry

I am writting this letter as my way to apologize to you and your family. I am sorry for ruining you and you family's business. I became ruthless because you ruined us Ellie, but Joe made me realized that because of you hindi namin maaayos ni Agatha ang bawat sarili namin. Nagkaroon kami ng pagkakataon maging buo. Me, Caleb and my parents reconciled.

Agatha think of you as a wake up call to us. To fix ourselves individually so we can be right for other. She made me realized na hindi tamang manakit at manira just because I am mad and wanted to get even.

Ellie, I' m sorry because I can never love you. My heart only belongs to Agatha, she is my light, my source of joy. Agatha is my everything. I know I did you wrong, I'm sorry. I know you wouldn't forgive me easily. I will understand.

I just hope you will find someone good for you. You are a great friend, and you deserve someone who will love you, only you. Yung hindi mo na kailangang ipilit ang sarili mo, I wish you happiness. Just know, I already forgave you. Thank you for making me realize things.

Dylan's POV

Ilang saglit lang ay nakatanggap ako ng mensahe mula kay Ellie.

Dylan, i am sorry. I envied Agatha so send her my apologies too. But I can see why you both love her. She is real, she still see great things on people kahit na hindi siya nagawan ng tama nito. Thank you to the both of you. I wish you both happiness. Pasensya na sa pangugulo ko, it is not right and I already Iearned my lessons.

I am happy for the both of you Dylan, and congrats dahil maayos na kayo ng pamilya mo. Agatha is right for you, I can finally see why. Take care of each other hindi na ako mangugulo pa. That, I swear to you.

I forgive you and thank you for forgiving me. Have a good life Dylan, love each other dearly. Goodbye.

Tila isang tinik nanaman ang natanggal sa puso ko. Agatha is right, at napakagaan sa puso kapag alam mo na nakapagpatawad napatawad ka. In right timing, and heart full of sincerity. Magagawa mong makapagpatawad at mapatawad. I am happy.
