"Bleecker Street was blown up today by a large donut in the sky. Witnesses say aliens came down once again to attack the city of New York. The hero known as Iron Man was seen flying towards the spaceship alone with queens friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."

My head shoots up from the stack of papers on my desk.

"You've got to be kidding me." I mumble.

I pick up the phone dialing the compound.

"Hello." Rhodey answers.

"Turn on the TV."

"Why?"

"Just turn on the television."

He puts the phone down, I hear the mechanics of his prosthetic legs moving as he walks.

The news goes on repeating the message I just heard.

"Tell me Tony is at the compound and not actually on that thing."

"He's not, he went out for a run with Pepper."

"Shit." I mumble.

I hear a loud clatter of things and some swear words from Rhodey.

"Bruce? What are you doing here?"

I thought I heard him wrong.

"Bruce? Did you just say Bruce?"

"Thanos he's coming. He's got an army. He's after the stones."

I hang up the phone packing my things.

"Sera, cancel the rest of my meetings I've gotta go." I tell the woman at the front desk as I bolt from the office and into my car.

"So let me get this straight, Thanos is after the stone and the flying donut Tony is on is his ship?" I ask still utterly confused.

"Yes. New York, Ultron, that was all Thanos." Bruce says.

Rhodey picks up his phone with a look of disgust.

"That'll be Ross."

I roll my eyes uncrossing my arms following him into the conference room.

"Still no word from Vision?" He asks.

"Hello to you too Mr. Secretary, we're doing great whilst we worry about our teammate who is in space. How are you Mr. Secretary, how's that stick up your ass?" I give him a sarcastic smile.

"Watch it Romanoff, you're still on probation." He snaps.

"I'm not the one who should be prohibited." I snarl under my breath.

"Satellites lost him somewhere over Edinburgh."

"On a stolen Quinjet with four of the world's most wanted criminals."

"You know they're only criminals because you've chosen to call them that, right, sir?" Rhodey pleaded.

"My God, Rhodes, your talent for horseshit rivals my own."

"Maybe because you're full of shit." I roll my eyes.

"OUT!" Ross yells.

"I'm okay over here." I smirk walking into the corner of the room to put myself some brandy.

"If it weren't for those Accords, Vision would've been right here."

"I remember your signature on those papers, Colonel."

"That's right. And I'm pretty sure I've paid for that." Rhodey says bitterly.

"You have second thoughts?"
