Tonight was the night.
And to say that you were nervous—was an understatement. Although, you'd definitely be more concerned if you weren't anxious or nervous about the events that were going to take place tonight, especially because there was all the difference in the world between brave and foolhardy. You were brave, brave and confident, an exquisite combination, so of course accompanied with that, you'd have the feeling of nerves and anxiety coursing through your veins. It was good. In a way, it made you more reliable and solid.
Sighing softly to yourself—you positioned yourself in front of the bureau mirror and took inventory. You momentarily glanced out the window first, the blinds wide open, and noticed how dark it had already become outside. In a black that had the strength of midnight blue whispering to its heart, balletic stars had taken to their stage.
You firstly applied some foundation all over your face to give yourself a more even look—it helped to hide the pimples too. Then you applied the glittering eyeshadows, before taking a stick of kohl and gently lining your eyes with the black powder. After that, you layered on some mascara, making sure your eyelashes didn't look too clumpy, and then finished with a lipstick the colour of blood spilt with wine. You observed yourself in the polished silver mirror. You needed to look hauntingly beautiful tonight, scarily beautiful. Your [H/C] hair looked beguiling against your deep rouge dress, a dress that Yosano had cut and sewn to accentuate your devilishly enigmatic allure. The kohl made your [E/C] eyes shine brighter than usual.
Once you were happy with how your hair and makeup had turned out, the next thing you did, was carefully pick up the dangly diamond earrings that were sitting untouched in your jewellery box. Like coruscating diamonds, the exquisite earrings clung to your ears, glistening in the dim, fluorescent lighting. Rouge, ruby red in colour, rimmed with rich gold; these were among your favourite earrings.
Taking a deep breath, you slowly rose to your feet, walking over to the full-length mirror so that you could see yourself properly. You felt a little out of your comfort zone, but Yosano did exceptionally well with styling the dress just the way that you had wanted. You looked beautiful, like the daring moon. Your [H/C] spun hair had been brushed to absolute perfection into a formal low bun, not a single strand out of place, detangled, and perfumed with rose-scented water; the expensive fabrics against your [S/C] skin a seductive shade of wine. The dress had exposed your dainty shoulders, as Yosano had decided to cut and sew it into a bardot style, peppering your body with soft, sensual kisses. Like a forbidden lover, the sexy and sophisticated dress was made to seduce the senses and convey with utmost skill the art of pleasing.
But that wasn't even the best part.
It was the skirt—it looked like a river of luxurious scarlet silk. However, almost your entire leg was exposed by a daring slit running across the left side of the dress; adding a flair of scandalous to such a beautiful delight that would surely have any man or woman falling at your feet with just one glance. You realised that the initials that Dazai had left with his lips and teeth a couple of days ago were almost entirely revealed, the once bright red bruises now a darker shade of purple, bright against your skin tone.
