A/N - this chapter was inspired after I read this scene in the manga and got hella fucking jealous 😭😭😭😭
From the very moment that you had woken up, you had the worst morning. No words could accurately depict how fucking shitty you felt. No word in the English dictionary came even remotely close to how sick and tired you were right now. Not only did you have a horrible sleep last night, but it didn't help either that you felt like you were currently lying on your deathbed. You had woken up much later than usual, which was very strange for someone who was usually such an early bird. Dazai had already left with Atsushi because they had some work to do, but you did briefly remember him coming into your room earlier to give you a kiss before leaving, although your mind was far too groggy and disintegrated to fully comprehend what was happening. He couldn't really do much else since you were sleeping and he didn't want to disturb you.
You wrapped yourself in the duvet, waves of nausea adding to your misery. Your phone pinged with message after message, but you just didn't have it in you to reach over and grab your phone from the nightstand beside your bed; you felt like you were unusually low on energy today. Your brain felt like it was going to swell beyond the capacity of your skull and now your dehydration was too obvious to ignore. But you couldn't bring yourself to get up and go downstairs to pour yourself a much-needed glass of water, especially knowing that you would have to bump down the stairs on your backside. Again, your stomach lurched and gurgled. You had no idea what was going on and why you were feeling like this all of a sudden. Yesterday you felt a little off and queasy, but you didn't think much of it, merely brushing the feeling aside as just an off day, whereas today was a completely different story. Perhaps some painkillers would help? You raised your heavy eyelids halfway only for them to fall shut after not even a millisecond. You raised them again, and in a feeble attempt to try and get up, you swung your bare feet over the carpet. You felt extremely dizzy, and you immediately sank back to the bed, unable to move again.
You suddenly heard a knock on the door, as you quickly jolted awake, before you heard a soft creaking followed by light footsteps entering your room. The sound of heels clicking on the ground reverberated in your ears, and that's when you realised that it was, in fact, Yosano. You didn't even need to actually look at her to draw to that conclusion. The familiar cacophony of her iconic heels had answered your question.
"Hey," she spoke softly, furrowing her eyebrows as soon as she noticed that your blinds were closed, which was highly uncanny, because you would usually be wide awake by now. You had never stayed in bed until noon before, at least not in the time that you had worked at the agency. And since you hadn't been answering your calls and texts this morning, she had a very bad feeling that something must have been wrong. She immediately sat on the edge of your bed as she observed you, and noticed that your skin looked extremely pale and ashen. "Are you okay? You're never still in bed at this time."
