Hestia's body laid seemingly lifeless, the only indication of her being alive the beeping from the electrocardiogram monitoring her heartbeat connected to her with piercing needles. Shallow breaths from within the oxygen mask she had on. Athena circled her palms lightly, tears flowing from her baggy sagging eyeballs. She was massively scared of losing the love of her life, the only woman who ever completed her empty void. Her childhood friend and lover, she had already lost her when they got into that accident and was not looking forward to the same fate at all

She wiped her snotty nose with her sleeve then buried her head into the bed. "Please wake up" she mumbled. "I love you so much, don't do this to me Esty" she sobbed her shoulders shaking. Even after crying almost every night for two weeks her eyes never seemed to dry. She would go to her home late in the night, cry herself to sleep, wake up, cry in the shower. Go to work, scowl at her employees, go to the hospital afterward then repeat the sequence. Her mother tried everything she could to cheer up her daughter but to no vain. She completely shut everyone out

"This is getting so boring" Hestia sighed as she glanced around the space. She wandered off the green field kicking her legs in the damp grass. Glancing upwards she saw the blue sky stretching as far as her eyes could see. She had tried running to the end of the space but realized it stretched even further. Nothing was occupying the limbo she was in but her

"No" she heard a voice say followed by sharp voiced laughter. She turned her head at a 360° angle frantically squinting her eyes to where the sound came from. It sounded so close yet so far. "Who's there?" she questioned frustrated seeing no one close to her

"Don't do that Esty" she heard the little voice scold again

"Wait, I do know that voice. I've heard it somewhere...I just can't seem to remember who or where I heard it from" she muttered as she gazed into the air her mind wandering to her storage of memories

"But it's fun" she heard another whiny small voice that sounded like hers

"I won't give you a kiss if you keep playing with snails" the first childish voice scoffed

"You're lying" the second voice shouted

"Watch me"

"Okay fine, no more snails"

Hestia felt herself move towards the sound and it got louder as she took more steps. With each step her heart fluttered, finally, she wasn't alone like she had been for the past days, she had even lost count of the days

"Come here Esty" she heard the voice say. Turning her head almost giving herself a whiplash, she saw them. Saw two little girls sitting side by side chuckling. "Hey" she called out to them

Turning their heads, the little girl's smiled at her, stood up, Hestia smiled thinking they were coming to her. Her smile fell as she saw them take off. She ran after them shouting for them to stop but their little legs were faster than hers. She didn't even notice how they disappeared into thin air she stopped suddenly hitting a force-like field that held her back. She stood up and tried running forward but was thrown to the ground by the force again. Giving up she hit her hands against the force and tried squinting her eyes. Not so far she could see the two girls chuckling to themselves as they glanced behind the trapped woman

"Please come back," she said her voice cracking

"Don't cry my child" another calming voice said
