Ever since I started working for Cleo at her midtown's restaurant things have been going great. I don't have any late-night shifts so that's a plus. And I get a bonus every month, the staff was welcoming so there's that. Cleo has been nothing but extremely generous, sometimes after my shifts, we would hang out and catch up and get to know each other more

She's really fun to be around that's for sure. Her childhood memories are so intriguing especially with her being an only child

"Penny for your thoughts?"Her voice brought me back from my thoughts

"You" I found myself saying

Wait for what!!

She looked shocked for a second before a warm smile spread across her dimpled cheeks

"You were thinking about me?" she asked timidly, her face scarlet red

"Yes I was, "I said confidently smiling at her

"Someone's confident" she smirked

"I'm just being honest" I smiled feeling my cheeks heating

She cleared her throat, "Uh...well let's order something" she turned to call for service

"Well take two cups of coffee please," she said to the waitress who eyed her too much for my liking, she bite her lip before saying, "right away ma'am" in some posh accent I felt like buffing

I glared at her but it's like I didn't exist

"Don't boreholes on the poor girl" Cleo said making me turn to turn with questioning eyes

"Poor girl???!!!!"I asked irritated

"You jealous" she smiled

She just freaking fucking asked me if am jealous?

Am I?

Of course not

I mean she and I are not a thing

So anyone is free to flirt with her

But why does it hurt when I see that

I mean she's beautiful and successful, so a lot of people crush on her

Who's to say she'll pick me over them

A waitress

Someone she employed???

"Of course not"I retorted

She looked hurt for a second before smiling, "You sure"

I hesitated this time staring at her while she stared at me. Her blue orbs shining with the setting golden sun. Her blonde hair flowed flawlessly, everything about her was flawless and elegant. From her walk to how she talks. It was all just mesmerizing

I know I do like her, I've grown to like her more every day we talk. She has a different way of viewing things that makes her so interesting to wanna know more about her

"It's rude to stare," she said using her hair to cover her face

I laughed lightly, smiling I said, "I wasn't staring I was admiring. There's a huge difference"

"Creepo" she chuckled

"Am not being creepy Kat"

Kat's her second name, and she happens to love it when I call her. I don't know why though, so I just call her Kat while everyone else calls her Cleo

I saw her blush rising, her cheeks attempting to burst.... not literally....from smiling too much today

"How are you liking working with me so far?" she asked for the hundredth time and it's been only a week now
