3. SWIMSUIT SHOPPING

Their first day in Doncaster was uneventful as they mostly stayed at home and spent some time with Axel and Eunae's parents, only going out for a short walk in the evening to look around the neighbourhood. The following day, however, their first plans began.

"What do you want to do today?" Axel asked them during breakfast. "We didn't make an itinerary or something along those lines."

"Why don't you take them to the beach?" Eunwon suggested. "Today's weather is supposed to be really nice and maybe you won't have another chance. It's nearly September, so the weather could change any moment now."

"Which one? Cleethorpes beach, Sutton On Sea beach or Mappleton beach?" he asked naming the ones they usually went to.

"Maybe not Cleethorpes if you want to take a bath, so either Sutton On Sea or Mappleton. Depending on whether you want it to be sandier or partly with pebbles," she said.

"I don't care, so whatever you want, guys," Axel told them. "You can search for pictures online."

As they looked at the pictures, Heejin remembered how she had told her mother she did not need a swimsuit because they were not going to a place with a beach. She regretted not listening to her mother.

"I... I didn't think we would be coming to the beach and haven't brought a swimsuit or anything..." she admitted.

"I can lend you one if you want to," Eunae said. "Although they may be a bit big. I'm a lot taller, even if I'm skinny."

"We can go to a store to buy one while they discuss everything," Axel told her. "We won't be going until the afternoon either way."

"There is no need. I can just pin one of Eunae's and that's it," Heejin quickly told him.

"By car the nearest clothing stores are less than ten minutes away. The more you try to refuse, the more time you are wasting," Axel said standing up. "Come on, let's get going. Does anyone need anything else?"

"Do you mind looking for sunglasses?" Duyi asked. "Mine are almost broken and just in case."

"The usual shape, right?" he asked and Duyi nodded. "We'll get going, then. Mum, may I take the car?"

"Use the motorbike. It's been a long time since you last used it and I don't want it to break when it as good as new," Eunwon told him. "Do you mind, Heejin, dear?"

"No, it's alright," she said.

She had not even seen the motorbike yet and she was already imagining how the ride could be like. She absolutely loved motorbikes and with Axel's newfound rocker side, it did not help her avid imagination whatsoever.

As they walked to the garage, she kept recalling when Axel talked to her about the tattoos he wanted to get and when they ended up making out. He was nothing like the Axel she had started talking to months before, but that did not mean she minded the change in attitude and confidence.

"White or black?" Axel asked her, showing her the helmets.

"I don't mind. Which one do you usually use?" she asked, and he pointed to the black one. "Then I'll take that one."

He was not expecting her to say that, so he laughed as she put it on with a smirk. Even if it had been a long time since he had last used it still faintly smelled like him, which made Heejin smile as they both hopped onto the motorbike.

"Hold onto wherever, although my waist is probably the safest option and the one I'll appreciate the most," he said making Heejin chuckle. "Off we go, then!"

That day's weather was the perfect one for a motorbike ride as, since they were not on full gear because the ride was short, the air hit their skin and cooled them down in the scorching summer weather. They were also able to spend some time alone together, no matter if it was in silence and nothing interesting happened.
