Heejin spent the afternoon with Hikaru watching movies and making the bracelets for the girls while also filming for the program, and Heejin completely forgot about everything else and just had fun with him, which was just what she needed. At around dinnertime, however, when the movie they were watching was over, Heejin decided to finally give him the gift he had made for him.
"I know it is not much, but Merry Christmas," Heejin said, handing him the small envelope with the gift and a short message.
"Wait, let me get yours," he told her, picking up his jacket and taking out a box from its pocket. "Merry Christmas, Heejin."
They both opened each other's gifts at the same time and they were both shocked to see that both of them had gifted each other bracelets and that, most importantly, both of them had a cat pendant hanging from them.
"No way!" they both said at the same time and laughed.
"Why a cat? I made you one with it because it's the animal everyone says you resemble, but why did you get me a cat?" Heejin asked him, looking at the beautiful white bracelet.
"Because you look like a cat," he said between laughs. "Wow... How on earth did we manage to get each other almost the same thing?"
"I guess we now have friendship bracelets!"
As soon as she said that, Hikaru looked at her with starry eyes and smiled the brightest she had ever seen.
"It's my first time having one. My group does not have shared things like this, so I have never had anything remotely similar to a friendship bracelet. I'm so excited!"
"Hikaru..." Heejin called him softly. "Merry Christmas and thank you for the gift."
Everyone would think he had just won the lottery after hearing Heejin speak in Japanese, as he got so excited he started jumping like a little kid, which made Heejin smile at his cuteness. Some people thought he was intimidating, but he was the biggest fluff ball she had ever met.
"Heejin, can I post a photograph with you on social media?" he asked her. "Pretty please?"
"Why would you want to?" she asked him confused. "It's not like posting something with me would get you more likes or something like that."
"I don't want more likes. I just want to rub in people's faces that I'm spending Christmas with my friend," he said. "Come on, please?"
Even if his fans had been nothing but sweet to her, she had to admit she still was worried about them suddenly changing their opinion and attacking her just like Axel's fans, but she chose to stop worrying and, just like Jisung said, look at what she had around her and not just the top of the mountain; enjoy the ride.
Heejin and Hikaru took a picture together showing their unexpected friendship bracelets and he posted it on various of his social media platforms, quickly earning responses from his fans and followers of the program.
Hikaru and Heejin are the cutest, I swear!
They now even have friendship bracelets? I guess I will have to start watching the show since it seems I'm missing too much!
They both look so happy! Imagine if they ended up dating. I would totally support them!
Funny how Heejin's username in the KEW app is Jang_Hee_Hee. We should make Heehee their shipname since it sounds cute, just like them!
I'm so glad Axel left the program! It seems like most of the negativity is gone without his fans around. Heejin, keep it up! Hikaru, take care of her!
