(A/N: I know that the noona/eonni/hyeong/oppa thing in English books is a bit cringey but bear with me in this chapter because I need to add it as there is no word in the English language that expresses the same thing and it's important for the context. Again, please bear with me here.)
Although Heejin said she was going to have lunch with the others, she stayed at the music studio working with Axel on the other group's song, which worried the rest of the group, who quickly checked out if everything was all right. After seeing it was, however, they just brought over some food and took the first draft to start working on some ideas for the dance while she helped out the other team.
In the middle of their session, however, Axel suddenly remembered he was meant to do a livestream that day and cursed under his breath since he did not want to stop working to do it but his managers and Duyi would kill him if he skipped it.
"Heejin, do you mind if I go live while we work?" he asked her as he took his phone out. "We have our headphones on, so they wouldn't be hearing anything."
"As long as I'm not shown on screen and you don't say I'm here it's okay," she told him. "It's not like they won't know later on but, since your fans aren't too fond of me, I don't fancy reading their comments."
"I will do it later tonight, then. It's okay," he said putting his phone back in his pocket, but Heejin stopped him. "It's fine, seriously. I'd rather work with you now and do it later than scheduled than you being uncomfortable."
"Everything we say or do between these walls is recorded, Axel. Just go live and if they end up finding out then it is what it is. Since we are working on the song for the other team, they are surely going to air this in the program."
She was indeed right, so he tried to place his phone where she would not be seen and fixed his hair and clothes before finally going to the KEW app and starting the live.
"Hello, everyone!" Axel greeted his fans.
Just with that, Heejin's heart was already beating faster. She was extremely worried about slipping in any way and she was reminded of right before their breakup, when she felt she could not even breathe near him or else his fans would sabotage her.
"So many people already! I just wanted to say hi. I don't really have anything planned," Axel said as he connected his laptop to the livestream to be able to watch the live comments better. "Yes, I'm back at the Breakthrough venue. We are preparing a surprise for all of you."
As his laptop was right beside Heejin's, where she was working, she was able to see the comments. He had turned on the setting to only watch the VIP messages (those from the ones paying a monthly subscription) but, even then, he had so many comments that he had to stop them to be able to read anything.
I'm voting hard for Eunae!
Eunae will definitely debut!
Will we ever get a collaboration between siblings?
"Thank you to everyone supporting Eunae. Although I really wish everyone could debut, I'm a bit biased."
When he said that, he sneakily placed his hand on top of Heejin's, confusing her for a second until she realised that by wishing Eunae debuted he indirectly was wishing she could debut as well as they were in the same team.
Can they not change the group line-ups anymore?
