As soon as Heejin got to her room, she laid on the bed and pondered about who to call. She knew her parents would take the longest, so she wanted to leave them for last. Minako, however, called them as soon as she got there and was already happily chatting with them.

She was not close to the new trainees at the company nor to Tawi, Jaehyun or Alex, so she felt like calling them would not make that much sense, but she had seen C1K just the day before, so that seemed unnecessary as well. In the end, however, she chose to call Joontae to let him know they had their phones back.

It took him some time to pick up the phone but it made sense since, when he picked it up, she could hear the music for «Wonderland» playing in the background, meaning the boys were in the middle of their practice.

"Heejin?!" Joontae exclaimed. "You have your phones back?!"

"Hasn't Juiyu called Duyi yet?" she wondered confused, as she thought Juiyu would be calling him first.

"He's out getting us some snacks with Jax. So, it's true? You really have your phones back?"

"Yes, we do! I just wanted to let you know before calling my parents since they'll take ages to hang up. Mrs Kim isn't at my house, right? She shouldn't be."

"No, she isn't. Don't worry about that. I'm so happy for you! Do you have access to the program and all now or still not?"

"I haven't checked, but I'm guessing we do, since my phone seemed untouched other than it being fully charged. I guess I will finally get to see the actual comments and not just the ones on the feed."

While she said that she heard some mumbling from the other side of the call, which confused her. She thought it would just be the other boys chatting, but when Joontae spoke louder she was able to understand what they were saying.

"No, just contact her if you want to do it, but use your damn phone. Instead of going out tonight drinking use your time wisely and call her... I don't care if your phone's dead!... You are honestly so exasperating!"

By what he was saying and how he was saying it, it was obvious that he was talking to Axel, so she tried to listen to their conversation and make out what Axel said, although she was not able to.

"Sorry, Heejin, it was... him. Anyway, I'm very happy that you got your phones back. We should chat more often now that we can. I want updates from the program now that I'm not there to spy on you!"

"You will get the freshest news, starting from how we need to make two songs for the ten of us for the next task," she told him. "You'll get to know more soon."

"Send me sneak peaks!"

"Said and done!"

It was remarkable how they both were like siblings despite not being related. He was the first person she had thought of calling because apart from being one of the members of C1K, which were her closest friends aside from the girls training with her at that moment, he was also the one who she had always gone to in the past whenever she needed anything but could not tell her parents or real siblings, so he was like her actual brother.

Albeit short, after their conversation Heejin had a better mood already. Just knowing she would be able to contact everyone she wanted to from then on made her feel bright and happy, so she used that moment of brightness to call her parents.

And was she right when she said that conversation would be long. They made her video call instead of doing a regular call to see her face and passed the phone around, so she spent almost an hour and a half just talking to them. She missed being at home, so it was the closest thing she had at that moment.
