With an excuse to get out of the house, going to the company without Mrs Kim asking any questions was a lot easier, but it also meant that she had to pay attention to the time as she had to make sure to be back home at a time that would make it believable that she was working. She could not be back home too early or too late; she had to be back right on time.

Even if that was the case, she was glad that she was able to work on her song with Axel as well as go to her classes instead of only being at home. As Mrs Kim stayed at least for a week at her house every time she visited, she missed several classes and she felt it affected her performance immensely. People always praised her after she was back because they thought she was just as good as before, but she did not feel the same way. She felt like she walked five steps forwards whenever she could rehearse and two steps back when she had to stay at home. She was not advancing as fast as she would like to.

That time, however, she was determined to work hard and use the opportunity the teachers had given her to work hard and make sure she did not take those steps back at all.

"So, you are telling me that for this evaluation we have ten people who want to work on original songs?" Alix asked the trainees shocked as they all gathered in one of the practice rooms. "Did we really have to start the WonderQ project for you to want to try to produce? I don't know whether to laugh or cry, seriously."

"Forgive us, lord, for we have sinned," Tawi joked.

"Let's just do it." She sighed. "Let me see if I wrote it down correctly. We have: Zia, Heejin, Eunae, Jaehyun, Liu Ming, Jaemin, Mirae, Blue, Chris and Laura?"

"Yes," the ten of them said at the same time.

"Then create the teams. Since C1K aren't promoting now, you may ask them if they want to join too," Alix told them. "I'll give you a few minutes to decide while I go and pick up something from my office. I'll be right back."

As soon as she left the room, the trainees talked about the ways they could arrange themselves, but they did not know what to do, so they were just as lost and had not arranged anything by the time Alix was back.

"So... teams?" Alix asked as she put two bowls full of small pieces of paper on top of the desk.

"We couldn't decide, teacher," Zia admitted.

"I guessed that would happen. Don't worry. I brought a plan B." She pointed towards the bowls. "In the one in the right there are all the names of the trainees under the company, and in the one in the left there are different concept ideas. You first pick a concept idea, then I tell you the number of teammates you will have, and finally you pick the names out of the other box. Does anyone not agree with this idea?"

As no one said anything, the ones producing approached the table and one by one picked a paper before checking it at the same time. Heejin was very nervous because she did not want to get one that involved rap as she was not good at it, but the content of the paper was not that much better.

Future house with a challenging performance

Heejin could not believe it when she read it. Future house was not that challenging for her as she had made songs in similar genres before, but the challenging performance part did not seem too promising. She was not a bad dancer, but she did not know what challenging performance meant and she was not sure if she wanted to know.

"Wow, Jaemin!" the trainees exclaimed, making Heejin turn towards him to check what it was.

Pop with a sexy concept.

"What does sexy even mean? That is extremely broad," Jaemin asked Alix.

"See it as exploring sexiness and sensuality," Alix told him. "Your team may only be composed of trainees over eighteen, for that matter."
