96. THAT BEAUTIFUL JEWEL IS MY RUBY

Less than a week left of program. 

The clock kept ticking and despite the non-stop working they still felt like they were running against deadlines, but they knew it was the final sprint before the end and they could not risk falling behind. There had been many news and rumours during the previous days, from Joontae and Dara's as well as Duyi and Juiyu's relationship reveals to the rumours of Axel and Heejin dating, but they could not think about any of those things when their future was at stake. They had too many things to worry about to add another to the list.

"Axel has an interview later today," Eunae told Heejin as they got ready in the morning. "He told me he'll reveal everything then."

"Yeah, I guess the truth will finally be out..." Heejin sighed. "I was really confident when I told him, but now that the day has come... not so much."

"It's normal. It's hard to do these things. You just need to remember we all truly support you, okay?" Eunae reminded her. "Just like you have always been there for us, we are also here for you."

"Yes, I should be positive!" Heejin told herself, trying to ease her nerves. "Confidence, Heejin! Confidence!"

Just as she said that, there was a knock on their door and Eunae opened it, revealing Axel.

"Speaking of the devil!" Eunae said moving aside so he could go inside. "Come in, your girlfriend needs some reassurance."

Immediately, he went inside and approached Heejin, who just rolled her eyes at Eunae. She was not wrong, but she still did not want Axel to worry about her when he was doing all the hard work and she was just going to continue working as if nothing happened.

"Are you regretting it now?" he asked her. "I already told you I wouldn't do it if you aren't sure."

"No, I'm sure. It's just... confidence has left the chat." She chuckled nervously. "Anyway, I still want to do it."

"Are you confident in our relationship?" Axel asked her and she nodded. "Then that's all you should worry about. I'll deal with my fans if they get too crazy. I've already been talking to ResQ about what to do if it were to happen and there's already a plan."

"Was it a live interview? Just to watch it."

"Yep. Four in the afternoon. It will be aired both on the radio and live on YouTube, if I'm not mistaken," he explained. "Seriously, if you regret it even during the show, just text me. I will pay attention to the messages just in case."

"Just focus on your interview. I'll be okay. You are already doing more than enough." Heejin hugged him. "Sorry for leaving you alone when dropping such bomb. I should be there."

"Hey, it's okay." Axel rubbed her back as she squeezed her tight. "Save me some time tomorrow to hang out together just the two of us and we'll be even."

"Of course, I can do that."

"Then we're settled. Pleasure doing business with you." Axel shook her hand playfully. "Anyway, I should go to Seoul now. I don't want to be late."

"Are you going alone?" Eunae asked him.

"No, I'll be going with Duyi and Soojin. She had some business to do or something like that. I don't really remember."

To not use different cars, they would all be going together to Seoul using Axel's car, which they playfully named MusiQ's taxi because of the many times they had used it. It was mainly because it was an electric car and it also saved them the expenses of using different cars, but they still found funny that it was always his car.

After Axel left, although Heejin tried to stay calm it was evident she was not as she tried to keep herself busy with anything and everything until his interview began. Even during lunch she was excessively active in the conversation to keep her mind distracted and not think about the relationship reveal too much. Everyone noticed that, but they knew that saying anything about it would only make things worse, so they just let her be and even helped at keeping her distracted.
