The CEOs told Heejin that they wanted to record the girls' reaction to the song she had created, so she had to wait until the next morning to finally show it to them. They were all gathered in the biggest practice room sitting down around the laptop Heejin had connected to the speakers.
"Just yesterday the CEOs asked me if I wanted to create the theme song for the program and I decided to give it a try. With Jax's help I came up with this and I wanted to show it to all of you first so you gave me your honest opinions before showing it to them," Heejin told them, nervously fidgeting with the cord of the sweatshirt she was wearing. "Of course, this is just an idea, so any feedback is welcome."
"Why did they only ask you, though? Just curious," Lihua wondered. "Zia and Eunae are producers too."
"They said it's because this is around five times harder than the challenges they have given us for the evaluations. Honestly, I don't think they were far off. Creating a song for ten people considering your personal styles while also keeping the theme about the program was incredibly difficult. I don't even know if you will all like it."
"Let's listen to it already, then," Zia said. "That's the only way to know."
Agreeing with her, they all nodded and Heejin finally played the song for all of them.
At first, it was difficult to tell whether they liked it or not since almost everyone was focused on carefully listening to it to not miss any details, from the lyrics to the harmonies and adlibs. That seemed to make Heejin feel even more nervous, to the point she had to turn around and not look at them. Technically she was okay, but that did not mean she was not scared to hear their feedback; especially Minako's. With cameras around she would not be as ruthless as without them, but she still did not know how she would react in case she did not like it.
"Wow, Jang Heejin!" Eunae exclaimed once the song finished, making her finally turn around. "Was this a track you had already made and just wrote the lyrics for?"
"No... I just made everything yesterday. After lunch I went to the studio and worked on it right away."
"I really love it. I mean it," Xia told her, sensing she was nervous. "It also really suits the program and blends our styles well, so I think it's perfect."
"How can someone not like it? It's really catchy, it's named after the program, it expresses what we want to achieve through it... It's just perfect!" Juiyu agreed.
One by one all of them told her that they liked it and wanted to work on it for the program, but Minako did not say a word about it, so Heejin had to ask her directly. No matter if they had fought, she still cared about her opinion just as much as the rest's.
"Yes, I have to admit it is a really good song. Let's go with it," she finally said, making Heejin let out a long breath.
"I will tell the CEOs after this, then. I bet they will probably ask us to make the dance as well so, does anyone want to do it? Just to tell them already and be quicker," Heejin asked them.
"I am always up for creating choreographies," Nari told her. "If you trust me with it and I have someone helping me as well, I can try."
"I'll help you!" Eunae quickly told her. "I already have a hundred ideas!"
"Then I guess I can tell them. We can all work on it together as well, but Nari and Eunae will be the main choreographers," Heejin told them. "I will work on the line distribution and tell you about it as soon as possible. Preferably this afternoon."
