"Thank you to everyone for coming to this almost impromptu meeting. I don't really know why C1K is here, to be honest, but hello to you too," Leah said as they all gathered in the venue to have the meeting Mika had told Heejin about the previous day. "Even if only Lin and I are here right now, that doesn't mean that this meeting is going to be light-hearted, though. It's actually a pretty serious one."
Heejin was thankful at that moment that Nari was not there because she was not sure how it would affect her to hear what the CEOs were going to say. She had already explained the whole situation to them, and they told her that she should not worry about it and just work on a cover or join another group for her evaluation, but her mind still drifted towards Nari and how she would be doing.
"Boop," Axel said touching the tip of her nose to snap her out of her thoughts.
"Stop!" she whispered yet giggled at his action and grabbed his hand.
Since they were sitting at the back, no one other than the C1K boys, Eunae and Juiyu could see them, so she did not have to worry about being caught and embraced the opportunity.
"Now, everyone, let's actually have a serious talk," Lin told them. "On a scale of one to ten, how would you grade your teamwork?"
"Nine!"
"Ten!"
"Nine!"
"Then why do those numbers not match reality?" Lin interrupted them, making the room fall into complete silence. "Seriously, I want to know. If you think your teamwork is so good, why do the things we see and hear not match those numbers?"
"We won't be pointing fingers at anyone because you all know who you are; we don't need to tell you that much. We just want to say that the WonderQ project is not made for you to slack off. It isn't a free ticket towards debut," Leah continued. "If you have a great song and dance but not a great attitude, you won't be able to release anything. Are we being clear?"
"And that doesn't mean that just said person or people won't be releasing it, it means that the whole team won't be able to. Be careful with what you do because we are not your parents. We don't like to be strict and you know that, but that doesn't mean we won't be calling you out no matter what you do."
"The day of your auditions we told everyone that once you join the company you can be sure that you will debut. When? We don't know. But you'd debut. If you act like this, however, we may need to take back our promise."
"Can anyone in this room tell me the six keys to a good teamwork?" Lin asked them yet again, yet no one answered. "No one?"
Suddenly, Axel forced Heejin to raise her hand and she looked at him panicked. She did know the six keys, but she was seriously scared of the CEOs right then and did not want to speak up.
"Jang Heejin," Leah called her name.
"I'm going to kill you," Heejin told Axel as she stood up. "Establish clearly defined goals, develop a plan towards those goals, establish the roles and responsibilities within the team, monitor progress, make sure that all of the members are committed and engaged, and work together with commitment and determination."
"It seems like someone here actually pays attention to the quotes scattered around the building," Leah said sending her a smile. "Everyone, I want you to get that tattooed in your brains from now on. If you want to debut and make sure that every team you work in succeeds, you need to pay attention to those six keys."
"You don't need to get along with all of your teammates to have a great teamwork," Lin reminded them. "Duyi, can I use you as an example?"
"I love you, Tawi!" he yelled from his seat, making everyone burst out laughing.
