Although during the morning the only thing they did was getting to know the mentors, right after lunch they already had to get to work and they were handed their first task, which would be group presentations. The only premise it had was that there would be three groups and they had to create the song and the dance, so everyone quickly tried to create the groups.
"This is the perfect opportunity for you!" Juiyu told Heejin and Nari. "The task doesn't say anything about pairs being prohibited. You should go together."
"But we can't force people not to join us," Heejin explained. "If someone wants to go with Nari, there's nothing we can do about it."
"Nari, just say already you are going with Heejin," Eunae told her. "We all know how things will go after she says it."
Since they had nothing to lose, Nari told everyone she wanted to be with Heejin and soon all of Minako's closest friends tried to create a separate group, which made it easier for them, although it also made Heejin's mood drop.
"Girls, can I go with you?" Xia asked them. "I don't mind who as long as it's with someone who can make music."
"Juiyu and I were trying to form a group, so join us!" Eunae told her.
"Can I join too?" Juna asked them.
"Sure!" Juiyu said and turned to wink at Nari and Heejin before leaving.
Since there were two groups of four after that, it left Nari and Heejin the perfect opportunity to become a pair, and soon they all told Axel they were done preparing so that they could start working.
"After just a few minutes, the final three line-ups have emerged. In the first group we have Zia, Minako, Lihua and Iku; in the second group we have Xia, Juiyu, Juna and Eunae; and in the third group we have Heejin and Nari. Are you all sure about the line-ups? You won't be able to change them after this."
"We are sure!" they all exclaimed.
"Then, mentors, please pick up one of the cards set on top of the table to select the group you will directly mentor."
Just as told, the three of them moved to the table and picked up one of the cards before showing them to the girls. A.Jin had chosen the first group, Kasai the second and Hikaru the third, leaving him with Heejin and Nari.
"Then, the only thing left for me to say is how much time you have to prepare. Including today you have..." he said and stopped for a few torturous seconds to create suspense. "Eight days. You won't be able to see each other's performances before that, so focus on doing your best."
"Eight days is basically nothing! How can we create something from scratch in such a short time?" Juna said.
"Maybe we can use one of the songs I've made for the evaluations. That would save us some time," Eunae told her.
"Thank god we have Zia here or else we would be doomed," Lihua told her members.
"I guess we are the only ones here with a clear goal in mind," Nari told Heejin. "We have to ace this."
"Let's make use of our advantage and have no regrets," Heejin agreed.
With a final group cheer, they all left the room, and each mentor guided the girls to what would be their practice room to talk about what they wanted to do and start working right away. What Hikaru did not know, however, was that they already had almost everything done.
"So, what were you thinking of?" Hikaru asked the girls as they sat down on the floor of the practice room with their tablets. "We could maybe do some brainstorming to find what to do or..."
