For the first time since the program began, Heejin did not finish a song in one day. They wanted to make the track as perfect as possible, so they looked into every detail to make sure they put out the best version. That also meant spending a lot of time in the studio but, to get them out of the producing zone and allow them to free their mind, Lin and Chengcheng gathered the girls to start working on the extra episode's performances.

"Good afternoon, everyone!" Chengcheng greeted them with a smile. "Ready to start working?"

"Yes!" the girls said at the same time.

"I'm glad to hear that."

"Some of you may be wondering where the mentors are, so to get that out of the way before we start, I want to tell you that they are all having some off time to work on other projects, as it has already been nearly three months since the program began and they have been spending most of the time in here," Lin explained. "With that out of the way, let's start with what we are going to do for the next few days: group performances."

"Before the final task, we thought that both groups should join forces to create the most breath-taking performances of the program that will be able to show your skills and passion. Since you are busy with the final task, however, the songs and choreographies are ready and you will just need to learn them," Chengcheng continued. "Which songs are they? You may be wondering. Well, let's listen to them, should we?"

The staff then played the mashup performance of Stray Kids' «God's Menu» and Blackpink's «Ddu-du Ddu-du». It sounded better than they imagined, and they were honestly shocked by it. They could already imagine who would do what part and they were just getting started.

Then, it was time for the second song, the one involving C1K's «Wonderland». That one just blew them away. The original version of the song was already like a war chant, but that one just went past that. None of them would have ever thought of mixing «Wonderland» with «Symphony No.9», but that was just why Alix was the top producer of the country. The way she worked on music felt like a walk on the park rather than a challenge.

"After listening to both songs, I'm sure you are all excited to perform them," Lin continued. "I'm acting as an MC right now since the Wonderland performance is meant to be a surprise for Axel as well, just so you all know. Let's try to keep it a secret from him, okay? He can just know about the other one."

"Yes!" the girls agreed.

"Okay, then, the first thing you need to do is divide the parts among you however you please. Just remember, there are no winners for this task and you are meant to show how powerful you can be, so try to not just stick to your comfort zone and explore new ideas."

That was easier said than done, but after Heejin's conversation with Soojin in Busan she knew it was important for her to show what she was capable of. They were nearing the final, and they had to give the absolute best. In order to win, they had to be selfish.

The first song they divided was «From the Wonderland», and it was surprisingly easier to divide than they thought it would be, especially since Lin and Chengcheng showed them the demo for the performance on one of the screens. The only part that they had trouble with was the high note right before the dance break, since they were not confident they could do it live as it was extremely challenging.
