The following morning, Heejin and Axel went back to Paju to continue with their rehearsals. Heejin had also had the chance to talk to her siblings about what they wanted them to help with and they agreed to it so, despite the bump in the road, everything seemed to be sailing smoothly once again. Heejin had also started working on the clothes and found some inexpensive pieces she could also work with, so they were back on track with every aspect of the production of the final show almost as if she had not left for a whole day.
During their absence they had continued preparing the collaboration stage with C1K, so it was then time to start preparing the ResQ Medley. They were going to perform a song of each year since their debut in sub-units, so they had to divide those before actually starting. Luckily for them, however, ResQ had already worked on that beforehand.
The songs they'd be performing were «Oh! My mistake», «%% (Eung Eung)», «Deja Vu», «Lion», «Scream», «Loco», «Boca», «Paint The Town», «Ghost» and «Crazy», and Heejin would perform in «Deja Vu», «Scream», «Loco», «Paint The Town» and «Crazy», doing Mika's parts in most of them. The only performance they would be doing on their own without any ResQ member was the one for «Paint The Town» where, instead, all the Breakthrough trainees would perform together. After all those performances, ResQ would then show their new song, «Easy».
They had split up the songs so the girls knew most of the dances and songs they were going to perform, so once again those rehearsals were not that challenging aside from the fact that they had their seniors watching their every move and making sure everything was absolutely perfect. They were already used to it from back when they trained at the company so, although it would definitely seem like way too much for someone who had not been through it before, to them it was just like any other day.
They spent the whole morning working on that and the afternoon working on their own performances so they thought they would use the late evening to rest, but instead they were told to gather at the greenhouse at nine. The reason? The long-awaited livestream with the viewers.
"You will be doing solo ones as well, but for this first one we thought it would be better for you to go live together," Alix explained as she tried to calm Hyeonwoo down, as he was crying at that moment. "Hyeonwoo, dear, what's wrong? Why won't you stop crying?"
They had called the doctor just in case something was wrong with him but still they found nothing. He just seemed e to be crying for no apparent reason. Alix and Jisung had barely slept that night as they kept taking turns to take care of him, so their eye-bags were more than prominent.
"Alix, let me take care of him," Heejin said standing up. "You need to sleep."
"But you are going to live in just a few minutes. It's okay," Alix assured her.
"I'll make sure to not show his face. Please, just go to sleep. You look like you are about to faint. We'll tell you if something happens."
Mika was not there at that moment as she was taking care of her own daughter and Soojin, Leah and Lin had to take care of the livestream, so she rather reluctantly agreed and carefully handed Hyeonwoo to Heejin, who adjusted his swaddle blanket so he was well covered and sat back down again.
After Alix left, they all tried to find the best seating arrangement, and Heejin asked to sit at the edge of the couch so she could better cover Hyeonwoo and leave the livestream if something happened. To make it more equal they decided to place Nari and Eunae in the centre of the frame, acting almost like the centres of their groups, and the rest just sat down wherever they pleased with their phones in hand to read the live comments.
"Look, he's quieting down!" Leah pointed towards Hyeonwoo, who was laying his head against Heejin's chest as she muttered a song to try to calm him down. "What are you singing?"
