4. JAEMIN AND EUNAE

Their afternoon at the beach went by in a flash and not even the long car rides managed to make them bored or tired. They got to go for a swim, walk around the beach and even have dinner out before going back to Doncaster but, most importantly, although they were with Eunae the couples were able to have some alone time as Euna did not like to stay in the water for long, so they took turns to leave the others some alone time.

Alix had called them again to confirm that they would be doing the evaluations the following week so, even if they still went out in the mornings to have fun and visit Doncaster, they spent the afternoons and evenings working. Even Axel and Eunae's parents were shocked by how diligently they worked even if they were supposed to have free time.

"Do you guys want a snack or something?" Kihwan signed as he went out to the backyard where they were all rehearsing.

"It's all right, dad. We'll go later," Axel told him.

"It's fine. I think we have a few bags of crisps," Kihwan said. "Ask them if they want."

After Axel asked them, they all just shrugged despite being hungry, so Axel told him to get them and thanked him.

"Should we take some time off, then?" Heejin asked the rest. "We have been rehearsing for a couple of hours already."

"Sure, let's rest for a bit," Juiyu agreed, and they all sat down and drank some water.

Soon later, Kihwan was out again carrying a couple of bags of crisps and a plate of sandwiches, so they all thanked him and he just told them to enjoy it.

While he went out, Tallulah had gone out of the house too and he headed to where Heejin was seated, curling up on her lap.

"Tallulah!" Axel exclaimed. "I get that you like Heejin, but don't betray me so bluntly!"

"She ditched you already," Eunae teased him. "At least Yzma is faithful."

"Do you like cats?" Kihwan asked Heejin with a smile.

"I do, yes. Why?" she answered.

"Maybe she senses that," he said before smirking. "Or maybe you have spent a lot of time with Axel and you somewhat smell like him."

Thankfully Eunae was not looking when he said that and the rest could not understand sign language, but it still made Heejin visibly embarrassed,

"Dad, mum called you. Why don't you go inside?" Axel lied to make his father stop.

"She isn't as dumb as to call me when I'm deaf, but I'll pretend you aren't lying and go. Enjoy your snacks!"

Even if his comment did not point any fingers, Heejin felt suddenly uncomfortable. It was true that she spent a lot of time with Axel and she could somewhat smell like him ever since the first day but being called out by his father made her feel nervous as she was staying at their house.

"Heejin, come with me for a minute," Axel said standing up after a few minutes, sensing Heejin was not acting the same.

"Leave the poor girl alone," Eunae told her brother as she ate her sandwich.

"Eunae, shut up," he said rather coldly. "Heejin, can you come?"

Everyone was startled by his cold snap, so Eunae stopped her teasing and nagging and Heejin made her way inside with him, Tallulah following them right behind.

Heejin thought they would just speak in the dining room since no one was there, but she was surprised to see him leading her to his room upstairs.
