Once they both calmed down, Heejin and Axel went back to the trainees' den to be with the others. They had sorted things out and knew each other's feelings, so at least they would not be awkward around each other anymore.
"Hello," Heejin greeted the ones in the main room and sat down beside Jax. "Still here?"
"We couldn't be bothered to move, to be honest," he admitted. "But, anyway, everything okay?"
"Yes, everything's cool," Axel answered, sitting beside Juiyu. "Is my makeup still decent?"
"Not that you need it anyway."
"Is it okay or not?" Axel rolled his eyes.
"Wait a second," Heejin told him and rushed out of the room.
As he had been crying, his powder makeup had vanished, so she went to her room to pick up hers. She had a translucent one, which would work on him since it did not have any pigment and it was just for the cameras.
Once she was back, she handed Axel the powder and he tried to put it on without looking at any mirror, so he accidentally put some powder on his eye and groaned while the others laughed.
"Seriously..." Heejin muttered, picking up the powder and doing it for him. "Anything to not stand up and look in the mirror."
"This couch is too comfortable," he admitted, looking at her in the eyes.
It had been very long since they had been that close but, no matter how comfortable they were with that, cameras were filming them, so Heejin moved back slightly yet smiled at him to assure him that it was not his fault.
"Okay, you're good now," she said once she finished. "Although Jax was right and you don't even need it."
"Says the one who wears makeup to rehearsals after being called the company's girl-crush for years when not wearing any," he said back. "Checkmate."
Just seeing that small interaction made everyone smile. He was not the same Axel from just days ago just like she was not the same Heejin. They were starting to go back to who they once used to be and they had not even agreed on what they were after their talk.
"Oh, I had one question before, but I totally forgot," Heejin said. "When are you releasing the music video for the other subunit song? You released the one for «Cerberus» today, but I was wondering when you will release the one for «Blooming Day»."
"In two days, I believe," Kiwoo said. "We wanted to have some time between both yet not too long."
"I can't wait to see that one too," Xia told them. "It sounds so different yet so you at the same time. It's like both sides of the group expressed in subunit tracks."
"It all started with Duyi, Axel and I really wanting to release a rap track. We didn't want to leave the others without the opportunity to release a song they wanted to as well, so this is what we ended up doing."
"I'm going to play it now, if you don't mind, because we only watched the video once and it at leads needs a revisit," Juiyu, who had just arrived with Duyi and heard their conversation, said as she picked up the remote from the screen. "Well, I don't care if you mind because I'll play it either way."
"And we are delighted to hear that," Heejin joked.
That song was, in all honesty, what best fit the boys when it came to their style. It was badass yet playful, which perfectly described them. It was clear that they had fun during filming as well, so it was perfect in every way.
