49. PLAN B

After changing back to their normal clothes and once everyone had left the venue, the girls were told to gather at the stage along with the mentors. ResQ had stopped the evaluations at MusiQ earlier than planned right after they were told about what had happened in the program, so even they were there with them at that moment.

"Are we all here?" the director of the program asked them through a microphone so they could hear him better. "Okay, perfect. I have just been talking to ResQ, regarding everything that has happened today, and I am going to announce several changes that will occur in the program."

Just those words were enough to scare everyone, as they did not know what type of changes there would be, but at the same time they felt at ease that they were aware that what had happened that day was not normal.

"First of all, we will be increasing the security for the live performance as well as forbid the entry with anything other than essentials such as a wallet, a phone, and so on. Also, I believe the staff from your company are preparing a statement about what happened today to Heejin," he read from his notes. "In terms of how the program will go, since it's nearly Christmas we have decided that it's best for you to take a few days off and spend this time with your families or friends. You will have to film vlogs and such that can be used for a special program, but you will get to do as you please until January the first, when you will all be taken back to the program venue."

"So we will not have staff around us or anything like that?" Zia asked.

"No, take this as your vacations. If you want to still rehearse and work, you are free to do so, but you don't need to," Mika explained. "You can do whatever you like. Obviously, taking into account that you are now rather well known."

"There won't be episodes like the ones up to now airing during Christmas and instead we will only release those vlogs, so don't worry about it," the director added. "Now, onto the next thing. Soon C1K is having a comeback so, yet again, there will be a change in MC. This time it's someone from outside the company and, instead of having it be a surprise, we will just tell you know even though you won't see them until you are all back. That person is Jisoo from Blackpink."

"No way! Kim Jisoo?!" Lihua exclaimed. "Wow... ResQ's contacts are no joke..."

"She will be joining the program after the short break, and you will get to meet her then. For now, use your free days as resting time so you can recharge and come back stronger," Leah told them. "Your free time starts now, so you can go wherever you please. Remember you will be going back to the venue on New Year's Day."

"Thank you!" they all said and picked up their bags so they could leave.

Heejin, although picking up her back, did not know where to go. She wanted to go home, but the Kim family always spent Christmas at her house so she did not know if she should go there, especially since she did not know if Mrs Kim knew about the program and the last thing she wanted was to fight with her.

"Heejin," Joontae called her as he approached her. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine," she lied. "Just wondering where I should go now."

"I would offer our dorm, but perhaps that's not the wisest idea..."

"It's fine. I'll find something. I can stay at a hotel or a goshiwon."

As they spoke, the rest of C1K joined them, and with them a very hesitant Axel. Anyone could tell he was worried about her and wanted to ask her if she was okay, but since it was partially his fault he did not even know where to begin.

"You should tell your parents Eunae is free this Christmas. Maybe they can come to Korea to spend the holidays with you," Heejin told Axel, taking the others aback. "She really seemed to miss them when we were in the program."
