"Heejin," he said looking down with teary eyes before looking back at her with the saddest expression Heejin had seen ever before. "For the sake of both of us, for the sake of our sanity, let's break up."

At that moment, you could nearly hear Heejin's heart breaking. She could not talk to her family, her relationship with the rest of the girls was not fully back to how it used to be, and her source of joy and healing was suddenly gone too.

"Tell me you don't mean that," Heejin said, letting her tears fall freely. "Tell me it's just the anger talking."

"Heejin, let's break up," he repeated, although looking back down again, not able to watch her cry.

"Axel you need to think things through. You messed up, sure, but there's no need to be this way," Joontae tried to knock back some sense into him. "Heejin, just ignore him-"

"Heejin, let's break up," he said once again, only that time tears fell from his eyes.

"Stop repeating it!" Heejin yelled, covering her ears and crouching.

Not able to be there doing nothing anymore, Juiyu and Eunae rushed to them and Juiyu wrapped Heejin in a tight hug while Eunae just stood beside her looking at her brother without knowing what to say.

"This is the first time in my entire life you have left me speechless," Eunae finally told him after a while. "I swore I would never let you fall back into the dark hole you used to be in, but you are making it really difficult."

That was the last thing Heejin heard before Juiyu, Eunae and Minako took her to the dorms so things did not get even worse. No matter how hard she tried she could not stop crying, but she was not even sure why she was crying anymore. The cameras and microphones around her did not matter and she just wished she could go back in time and never apply as a trainee. She should have just stuck to her initial plan and go to university to study literature and none of that would have happened.

"Heejin," Minako called her. "Don't cry, okay? It's normal to feel like this on your first breakup, so don't worry too much."

"It's not her first breakup," Juiyu told her. "She's not like this because it's her first breakup, she's like this because she very much loves Axel. He was one of the few people she could fully rely on."

"Love?" Minako asked shocked.

"If you had seen what I saw during our trip to the UK, you would understand. I have never believed in fate, but that's the only thing that can explain their relationship."

As they spoke, they heard a car pulling over outside, so Minako went to the terrace to quickly check who it was, seeing it was their bosses.

"They're here," she told them. "They look mad."

"Do you want to know the worst part?" Eunae asked them and Juiyu and Minako nodded. "No matter what they tell him right now, he will not care at all. Axel has gone into complete emotional shutdown. He has been in one for a while now except when he was recording or with Heejin, from what I heard from Jaemin, but he is now in full shutdown."

Yet again Heejin remembered how she had promised their mother she would protect Axel and not let him go back to how he once used to be, but not only she had failed, she also was the cause of it.

"Heejin, calm down, okay? Please," Juiyu said rubbing circles on her back trying to soothe her.

"Girls! Girls!" someone yelled as they ran up the stairs, making them turn to the door, Juna running inside just seconds later. "Axel is leaving the program and taking a break until their comeback."
