EXACTLY TWENTY MINUTES from the moment Mad-Eye Moody had exited the kitchen with Tonks in tow, and dinner was finally beginning to pull to a close, Rebecca stood from her seat. Having been watching the clock upon the wall for every five minute increments, she was extremely eager to have her talk with the Aurors. She thanked Molly for the meal, taking her own dish to the sink after questioning if she could help in anyway – she was promptly denied – before exiting the room. Following the peeling grey wallpaper and the threadbare carpet of a long, gloomy hallway, she managed her way towards the parlour.

Her steps were slow, calculated, as she perused the dusty corridor – watching for lifted floorboards, snagged carpet, or Kreacher, in case she were to trip and fall.

With a hand on the handle to the door, she peeked her head in, finding the parlour empty. Neither Tonks nor Mad-Eye were in sight. There was a slight twist to her stomach, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion as she craned her head slightly to hear a bit better. Pursing her lips, Rebecca slowly moved an arm, ducking it into her sleeve and withdrawing her wand. It took seconds to slip into the room, the door pressing shut behind herself quietly and keeping her back to it. It was almost like she were back in the Carrow House, sneaking around and searching for the house-elves she played hide-n-seek with, or searching for random things she could stash away and claim as her own in boredom.

With a small, sudden creak of the floorboards, she spun to the left, wand lofted and pointed right on point with Mad-Eye's mangled nose, "what the hell are you playing at?" She questioned the Auror sharply.

"We just wanted to see if you –"

Rebecca spin around again, having heard a nearing step from behind and now looking between both a surprise-stuck Tonks and a pleased-looking Mad-Eye, "if this is some odd set up – I swear I'll hex the both of you silly," She uttered, wand still pointed as she took a single step back so her back was pressed flushed against the door.

"Told you she was really cool," Tonks beamed, practically bouncing over towards her mentor and setting her hands to her hips, "a natural."

"A natural," Rebecca repeated slowly, cocking up an eyebrow, "at what exactly?"

"Mind pointing your wand elsewhere?" Mad-Eye questioned instead, clumping over towards the middle of the room to plop himself down heavily on the black couch, "c'mon now – we haven't got all day to lounge."

"Tell me what we're going to speak of, and why you've decided to try and scare me from both sides, and maybe I'll set it aside." She retorted, keeping her hand steady as she stole a quick glance to each of them.
