ROAN CARROW HAD WOKEN up with a start, in an all-too-familiar room. Bare, stormy grey walls that were once pinned and scattered with various achievements – with banners and flags from his youth, all in the same emerald green and shimmering silver that he flaunted for seven years. Almost at once, he tugged himself to sit up on the silky sheets; his head pounding and spinning and making his eyes clench tightly to try and stop the sudden spell of nausea that attacked him. Roan pulled himself from the still-made bed after a moment, planting his feet firmly to the hardwood floor and patting at his pockets. He almost laughed at himself at the action – of course they wouldn't let him keep his wand – they taught him better than that.

Upon hearing noises and muffled voices come from downstairs, wafting up through the vents and trailing the stairs, he made way for the opened door. Roan left his childhood bedroom, eyeing both sides of the bland corridors in distaste. Apparently nothing had changed since he left. There was barely any light, save for a few lit candles lining the walls – curtains drawn shut over each window and all the paintings dusted regularly to keep from decay. Walking amongst the eerie silence, he made small steps down the stairs, keeping on alert as he descended. Roan followed the sounds of dishes clinking and the light chatter towards the dining room.

"G'evening, nephew," The nasally voice of Amycus Carrow echoed across the elegantly-set dining area, making Roan come to an abrupt pause in his steps in the doorway, "how nice of you to finally join us," He stated sarcastically, smiling as if he hadn't helped kidnap his nephew just hours prior.

"Oh, good, you're up," Alecto Carrow suddenly made her way into the dining room from behind Roan, "don't linger in doorways, you know I detest that," She scolded her son in passing, her dull green gown fluttering in her steps, "Let us get to our discussion, come sit."

"What the Hell do you want from me?" Roan spat out lowly, keep his firm stance in the doorway, his eyes narrowing between them both.

"Do not speak to your mother in that way," She snapped just as low, giving a snap of her fingers so that elves appeared at once; setting out dishes and serving out three plates of steak dinners, "and if you'll sit –"

"What. Do. You. Want." He repeated firmly, both his hands clenching into tight fists at his sides, "I've already told you – numerous times – that I want nothing to do with either of you. With this family."

"And that's quite alright," Alecto gave a slight shrug, gently taking ahold of both her knife and fork; cutting off a piece of her steak and promptly bringing it to her lips, "We need not only but a bit of information from you – then we'll let you be on your way."
