DESPITE THE CLEAR hesitation that rattled through the group, and the weary looks between one another – the fairly sized gaggle of students were quick to seek out their part of the 'mission' and ran off to begin. Ginny set off with both Luna and Neville to guard the Golden Trio whilst they were in Umbridge's office, while Adrienne and Cedric ducked out of the library to try and find and intercept the Inquisitorial Squad. Though, before Rebecca could run off to follow after Harry – having taken a single moment to collect and steel herself from the inside – her hand was seized. She was twirled around, and her eyes were immediately meeting the concerned look of her boyfriend as he towered over her.
"Be careful, yeah?" Fred uttered lowly, palpable panic lacing his features as he scanned her face worriedly.
"Aren't I always?"
"No," He answered abruptly, smothering a rather fond smile as he shook his head before he felt it falter, "are you sure about this?" He whispered, looking extremely hesitant to release his hold on her hand.
"No," Rebecca admitted meekly, letting out a sharp breath before she peered up, "but he's my dad, so I'm going to do it anyways."
"You go on," She added with a reassuring smile, reaching up with both her hands to give a slight squeeze to his cheeks to tint them pink before gently pecking his lips, "have fun and be safe – make your legacy."
Fred finally beamed a small grin, giving a curt nod like he was a soldier taking orders before he was pressing a firm kiss to her lips for a final time. He was nearly shaking in anticipation, happily ducking out of the library with George hot on his heels after his own goodbye to Scarlett. The twins ran off into the hall with a childlike excitement, sharing an echoing high-five before they had disappeared into the maze of corridors. With a small glance towards Scarlett, who immediately nodded in reassurance, both girls finally followed after everyone else and out into the eerily empty halls. It seemed like it didn't take long for the twins to begin reigning havoc – the first of many loud and echoing BAMs making the castle shudder.
The girls took off running towards Umbridge's office as soon as soon as they heard a symphony of firecrackers. They skidded down familiar hallways, keeping aware of their surroundings – heads on a swivel at every turn – in the case they'd run into someone. They were almost to the Headmistress' office, a couple of meters shy of the correct hallway when Draco Malfoy had stumbled right into their eye-line. The rest of the Inquisitorial Squad was nowhere in sight, but Malfoy still looked to be on edge and was scouring the halls. Sure enough, in having spotted the two older girls suddenly glued to their spots not far off from where he was – Draco let out a visible breath and ran the last few paces to stand in front of them at a small distance.
"What do you want, Malfoy?"
Draco had the audacity to look taken back at Rebecca's suddenly hostile and snappy tone, his grey eyes widening in a slight surprise. The Ravenclaw's anxiety had already started to simmer beneath her skin at the mention of her father being taken, but seeing the Malfoy heir had seemingly only made it begin to fester into anger instead. And she had every right for the anger she possessed, still having not forgiven him for the day of the quidditch match – with what he had said about the Potters and the Weasleys, and in practically sticking up for Pansy when she said things of both her mother and father.
