THE MEMBERS OF THE Order had all looked to Mad-Eye Moody expectingly, a few of them glancing back and forth between him and the youngest within the room wearily. Rebecca remained sitting silently, her eyes trained solely on the magical-eyed Auror – not allowing herself to falter or cower under all the shifting gazes that were suddenly directed at her. Remus still stood behind her chair, both his hands grabbing the back of it, his knuckles flushing white and returning to normal as he anxiously squeezed the oak. Sirius was just across from her seat and a single seat to the left, his eyes already trained solely on her face.

"So, will we all just sit here looking at one another, or will we actually get into the questions?" Rebecca uttered before she could stop herself, still looking at Mad-Eye expectingly.

"Swear to tell the truth at all times? Answer each question honestly?" The man spoke gruffly, his eyes boring into her own.

Raising her right hand, doing a simply 'X' over her heart, she nodded, "swear it on my life."

"The night of the final task of the Triwizard Tournament, both Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory returned to the grounds of Hogwarts by use of an illegal portkey – you were first to reach them besides the professors and Headmaster – why and how?"

"I was in the first row of the stands, alongside the most of the Weasley family and Hermione," Rebecca stated, eyebrows furrowing slightly before they smoothed out, "– the second they both got back, I wanted to be at least one of the first to congratulate them," She paused momentarily, "and be the first to hit them upside the head for leaving us all waiting so long to see who had won, especially since we all saw Fleur and Viktor willingly quit and be ejected from the maze."

"When did you first notice that Diggory was dead? And what exactly did you do the moment you found out?" He questioned, his magical eye staying trained to her face and watching her extra closely much to her own dismay.

"I was probably a few steps away from them both – Harry was crying, hugging himself to Cedric like he was protecting him before he was being tugged away," She swallowed thickly, the very image quickly passing across her mind as she blinked, "first thing I did was sob like a baby, nearly tripping over myself to push through the small crowd and then I fell to my knees at Cedric's side."

"Then what happened?"

"I sobbed – sobbed some more – clutched onto him like a child to a teddy, practically just wailing for him to come back, that I loved him, that he never said goodbye – and then his parents came running up," Rebecca answered quietly, forcing her breathing to remain slow so she wouldn't burst into stupid tears at the mere reminder of that night, "I don't remember seeing much, my face was just smushed to his chest – I barely heard a thing over my own crying."
