IT WAS JUST A FEW WEEKS later when Harry's exclusive interview had shown up in both The Quibbler and The Daily Prophet, making a slight buzz go around in the air surrounding the castle. After having both the article and interview banned from the school grounds, Umbridge had unknowingly just helped the DA secure the readers' numbers shoot up into the majority of students at the school. Even going as far as the professors – who had been banned by Educational Decree number Twenty-Six from speaking out on anything other than their intended educational subjects – took to showing their pride in subtle ways. Usually by the way of house points for mundane things.
Such as Harry tying his shoe – ten points from Professor Sprout. Or sharpening his pencil – fifteen points from Professor Flitwick.
Making her way down from the Ravenclaw tower, Rebecca's eyes had zeroed in on the abnormally large crowd of students all chattering and crowding the lower halls. Most of them were fleeing down the corridors, down towards the Entrance Hall and foyer, and keen on finding out why they did so – the nosy Ravenclaw slipped away from her dorm mates and followed after the younger, loudly chattering students. The mutterings and whispers had grew louder as soon as Rebecca neared the Entrance Hall, the crowd growing in size as more and more students exited the Great Hall and followed after the buzz.
"C'mon..." There was a quick mutter by her ear as she slowed to a stop behind a hoard of Slytherins, a gentle hand wrapped around her elbow and beginning to lead her away from the crowd and around the hoard of people, "this way..."
"What's going on?" Rebecca whispered to Scarlett, quickly falling into step with the Hufflepuff as they both linked arms and pushed through the crowd.
"No idea, it's all just starting," Scarlett whispered in return, guiding them both towards their boyfriends who had been standing on the opposite side of the circle of students, "but it's Trelawney – she's being hounded by Umbitch."
Sure enough, after being tugged to stand before their own twin protectively, the girls found Professor Trelawney standing in the middle of the Entrance Hall; her thin wand in one hand and an empty bottle of sherry in the other.
"Oh, she's gone bloody bonkers." Rebecca uttered meekly, eyeing the bottle before looking to the crazed look in the woman's eyes.
"No!" Trelawney shrieked again, her hair sticking up on one end, glasses lopsided, and her numerous shawls and scarves trailing haphazardly from her shoulders, "t-this...no! This cannot be h-happening...I refuse!"
"Surely you realized this was coming," Umbridge's sickly sweet voice coo'd mockingly, clearly amused at the woman's bewilderment, "seeing as you could barely predict tomorrow's weather, and with no clear sense of improvement, we can't have you teaching Divination the way you are."
