THE MORNING BROKE ONCE more, the sun beginning to pull itself out of it's dark slumber from under the horizon and into the sky – sending its warmth and colorful hues across the lands. Over the rolling green hills, and into the smallest nooks and crannies; bright, yellowy sunshine spread across the scenery and began to rid the leaves and foliage of their dewy prisons. Though, despite the beauty, despite the rising run that should've brought the usual happiness that came with the birth of a new day – Rebecca Black felt nothing but fear. She stood by the kitchen window, next to the sink, just blankly staring out with a blearing vision and her arms crossed and tucked around herself.

She probably stood in that very same spot for more than an hour – she couldn't be too sure, but with her eyes beginning to squint and burn against the light, she could make a decent guess. With small steps, and a half-empty glass of cold water in her grasp, Rebecca finally emerged out of the kitchen and back towards the den. Her steps suddenly began to slow, though, her eyes flickering between the standing and whispering members of The Order within the sitting room. It took only seconds more for their hushed tones to disappear altogether, their gazes finding her own with reluctance and hesitance.

Rebecca took a moment to watch each of their faces intently, calculating eyes taking in each of their features; taking in their reactions to her sudden presence before she was looking right to Remus expectingly. In a silent plea of watching eyes that he knew too well, and knowing just how stubborn the witch was in her thirst for the truth, he let out a soft sigh.

"The attack was confirmed." He uttered gently, his eyes trying to search hers before she quickly averted her gaze downward towards her shoes.

Remus' words couldn't have been simpler, they were perfectly straightforward and to the point, just like ripping off a plaster. But yet, they didn't seem to soften the blow like he had hoped; they didn't stop the tears that began to well up again. Rebecca had known the very minute that she saw both Violet and Adam sat on the couch, that something was wrong. She had immediately felt uneasy, and panicked, and she knew Roan was in trouble. Though, to hear the words from someone – having it come from the very same people who had doubted it all – it made the feeling of panic crash down upon her tenfold.

Swallowing back the lump in her throat, she looked up and met Remus' eyes head on; no matter how much they burn with glassy tears, "What are we to do now?" She questioned slowly, fearing the pending crack in her voice, "We're going to save him now, right?"

"It's not that simple, Phoenix," Tonks let out slowly, making the girl's gaze quickly flick over to her, "we don't know if we'd be walking straight into an ambush – playing right into their cards just like they want us to. We don't have a clue on if they'll outnumber us."
