FRED WEASLEY STOOD VERY silently, most likely for a more than just a few minutes – unbeknownst to himself – staring completely gobsmacked at the young woman before himself. His head was tilted just a bit downward, his eyes meeting her hesitant ones head on; his grip slowly tightening and loosening repeatedly around the fabric of the tiny onesie in his palm. Standing right outside his childhood home, he could easily feel the gazes from his family coming through the kitchen window, each pair of eyes adding yet another weight to his shoulders. Not that it mattered – not when his eyes were set to another's, his heart thumping rhythmically in his chest and echoing in his ears.

He had simply stared blankly for a while longer, his mind still reeling and mouth far too dry to begin to form any coherent words. Rebecca, bless her rapidly pounding heart, was silent as well. She shifted her gaze every other second, flickering her sights across every aspect of Fred's face in a hope of finding any source of a defining emotion to the news. Another moment or two passed in the tensed air, the couple still standing in front of one another with an audience viewing from afar.

"Please say something," She finally broke the silence, worrying the corner of her bottom lip between her teeth after she swallowed down the hard lump in her throat, "you're worrying me."

The sound of her voice seemed to break Fred out of his trace, his eyes meeting hers once more. The moment he began to smile – the type of smile that sent her swooning, and that always made his eyes crinkle at the corners – she could practically feel the weight melt and slide right off her shoulders. The ginger man let out a breathy laugh, almost in denial as he grinned even wider and continued to flounder with his words. Still, despite his uncharacteristic lack of confidence, he lurched forward and looped both his arms around the former Ravenclaw once more. Rebecca was back in his embrace, smiling stupidly into the fabric of his flannel as he nuzzled his nose against the side of her face, his smile practically reaching his ears as it widened against her skin.

Being set back fully onto her feet, Rebecca grinned up at her fiancé; happily leaning further into his gentle touch as both his hands cupped either side of her face. Their faces were centimeters apart, lips able to brush and their breaths mixing in the tiny space between them – but Fred had stopped. His eyes, before he managed to close them, caught a small spec behind her head at a distance. His stance went staggered, his gentle hold faltering from her face as his spine straightened out abruptly.

"What is it?" Rebecca murmured hesitantly, a small frown curling the corners of her mouth downward as she peered up at him.

"I...I dunno," Fred uttered back in return, now fully pulled away with his gaze locked elsewhere behind her head and growing extremely weary, "go inside."
