THE ATMOSPHERE WITHIN 12 Grimmauld Place grew far more tense as time went on. Days passed, and tensions only rose higher and higher once Sirius was told he wasn't allowed to attend the sessions regarding Rebecca anymore; especially not since his outburst, and definitely not when she told Mad-Eye Moody so herself, practically blackmailing the Auror that she wouldn't speak truths with him in there. The man then became more of a scowling mess, always grumbling and muttering under his breath in passing – and more so when Harry's disciplinary hearing worked out in his favor and he was to return to Hogwarts. A sick part of him had wanted his godson to be found guilty, so he might be able to stay with him.

It was finally nearing the month of September, and the long weeks spent in the secret apartment – each of her letters having still gone unanswered, alongside all of her questions – had weighed heavily and made Rebecca far more irritated than before.

She had tried making herself useful, helping Mrs.Weasley and the others in clearing up messes and decontaminating more rooms for the rest of the members to stay in, but with everything going on – it all made her head spin and anger flare. She wished out of the apartment, to return to both Andy and Ted for another day just to breathe freely again. It was like she was back at the Carrow House yet again – being careful and cautious in avoiding Sirius and even confining herself to her room to get a moment's piece a handful of times each day. Though, thankfully for them, the last day of the holiday, her attitude immediately brightened up.

"Delivery, boys," Rebecca chirped out happily, stepping into Ron and Harry's room and waving a handful of letters addressed to each of the returning students, "your booklists have arrived."

Ron thanked her, taking his own before rounding his bed to open it. Harry finished up clearing off Hedwig's droppings into a rubbish bag, tying it shut and tossing it into the wastepaper basket in the far corner – stifling a small chuckle when it swallowed the rubbish and let out a large belch. Thanking Rebecca for the letter, he took his own as well, and ripped it right open.

"Only two new ones," Harry stated, sparing a glance to the Ravenclaw who had begun to open her own just for the hell of it, "The Standard Book of Spells and –"

With a crack of apparition, both Fred and George had appeared into the boys' room and were standing on either side of Harry. Having grown extremely used to the constant drop-ins and just as quick disappearances, no one flinched at the sound or at their sudden presences anymore.

"We were just wondering who assigned the Slinkhard book –" Fred started, already rounding the room to near his girlfriend and press a greeting kiss to her cheek.
