THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY had ended far earlier than anybody expected, and all students were mandated to return back to Hogwarts. Though, even despite the complaints to go back and do her part, Ginny Weasley was withheld from boarding the Hogwarts Express. In due time, the resistance fighters within the castle's walls would come to the conclusion that the fiery redhead wasn't coming back – that they were on their own once more. By March, The Order had nothing other than Potterwatch to keep busy. The airshow did wonders though, almost always a step ahead of the Death Eaters in getting word and news out to the students within Hogwarts.

Though, as the elected leader of the student rebellion by his peers, Neville Longbottom wasn't quite sure what to make of Draco Malfoy's sudden appearance. The blond had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, the large double doors of the Room of Requirement opening with ease and allowing the lanky teen inside before shutting right after him.

"To what do we owe the pleasure, Malfoy?" Neville questioned cooly, his warm eyes narrowed protectively over his peers as he stood before the blond in the large archway – as if blocking the entryway from the Slytherin.

"I'm here to help," Draco stated simply, his broad shoulders pulled back in defense as he stared just as firmly back at the Gryffindor, "whatever The Order needs – I'm with you."

"Likely story," Seamus piped up from his far corner, tucking his uniform sleeves up to his elbows as he stepped passed a group of armed second years, "and just why would we believe some entitled, pureblooded, rat like you has suddenly decided to help the good guys?"

"The Room of Requirement wouldn't have let me in," The blond deadpanned, folding his arms boredly across his chest, "and I wouldn't have known about this little group if I wasn't told by someone who already knew, Finnigan."

"And who told you?"

"Ginny."

The Irishman took a step back, already shaking his head feverishly, "There's no way –"

"There's a lot of things you don't know, Finnigan," Draco sighed with a roll of his eyes, "but it doesn't make it any less truthful –"

"Get to the point, Malfoy," Hannah Abbott spoke up from afar, her like most others; beginning to gather round and listen in, "What is it that you want?" She questioned wearily, moving to stand behind Neville, "What's in it for you to suddenly join us against your people –"

"I want to live," Draco stated simply, his eyes flickering between the three that had addressed him, "I want to be able to walk away from this fight and know that we did everything we could to save everyone."
